What do your rivals need?

We all discuss our own clubs and what they need a lot but what do you think your rivals need in order to improve? Which players and for how much? Which players already on the books will kick on? What can they achieve if they get them?

Man City:
They lost a fair few games last season by their very high standards and yet came so very close to achieving what could be considered the greatest club achievement ever in a single season. A striker is the obvious choice for improvement here. I like Jesus but there are better. I think they have a decent chance of getting Kane and furthermore think he is perfect for what they need. I suspect Ferran Torres is going to have a great season. He got stronger the longer he had settled and has insane talent. Foden continues to improve year on year.

Prediction: League winners and a domestic cup

Man Utd:
Sancho is a great signing imo, I think he is going to smash it and I am not sure people realise just how good he is 1 vs 1. He can go either way and has mad acceleration with the balance to match. With Rashford out for a bit, and even if he wasn't, Sancho will be vital. A centre back like Varane would be another plus but unless they get some quality in midfield I don't see them winning anything. There are simply a lot of better midfields at home and abroad. Bruno looks to be having the first rough patch of his career, he will need to remember how to play football because if he isn't scoring he looks rammal.

Prediction: 4th and a semi final

Chelsea:
Imo the best forward options in the prem. Certainly the most depth. I actually like Werner and there is not much wrong with his game that has to be changed in order for him to get at least another ten goals a season. Huge fan of Havertz, I think he is going to smash it next season. Too many other options to mention all at a good age and with scope to improve. I think they could use another cb, maybe two, certainly a bit of room for improvement there. I'm never quite sure on Jorginho, he's got talent, but would a more athletic out and out dm be better for them?

Prediction: 2nd and a domestic cup.

I haven't included any other teams as I don't think they'll get near the top four this coming season but feel free to add your own. Fwiw Liverpool: 3rd and CL

I think the non City fans are missing the point I am making about Kane. It has nothing to do with his ability. Pep seems very happy to play without a striker, he seems to prefer it when the front 5 rotate endlessly. However, there are games when that clearly isn't working and a more direct approach is needed. The last time City had that kind of player was Negredo. Was he better than Aguero? Of course not. Was he what was needed in certain situations? Yes he was and City have missed that. Pep can, as we all know, be very stubborn but the ability to use someone who can just mix it with the CB's like Negredo would be a useful thing to have. Kane is just a different type of striker, certainly more skilled than a Negredo type but maybe not as effective for City when that smash the door in approach is needed.

As said it's common knowledge that City are interested, they enquired in January, so I'm not sure what your point is tbh.

Given that City almost always keep dealings very private, I don't believe very much 'common knowledge'.

Yes who knew you were signing Sterling for example. Good post.

Nobody is missing your point about Kane. We just correctly think it’s reetarded.

Or perhaps you are? You have the right to disagree. You also have the right to be stupid.
