I actually got a little emotional reading this one.
Rob Dawson at ESPN is reporting that Ole is informing everybody returning to pre season training, that heโs planning on using a more attacking 433 formation. With Pogba and Bruno playing as two 8โs, in front of a single holding midfielder.
Signing Sancho, (potentially) Varane and now this piece of news feels like weโre playing FIFA and I love it. No more over cautious approach, Pogba in the final 3rd where he should be, the end of the McFred partnership and a new coach bringing in new ideas ๐๐ผ
433

I’ll believe it when I see it.

I don't see why we can't.
I'd go for Pogbe, McT and Bruno.
Or Garner could be given a try

We don’t really have the players to make it work effectively (nor the coaching), and Ole’s not given any indication it’s how he once to set up, especially since Bruno has been so crucial to the attack.

Yes we can.

Another thing to consider is that we could try and play the tactics in the OP and if we get pumped by some team Ole may very well retreat back to the McFred partnership as he probably knows and trusts them (rightly or wrongly).

A small aside, but its amazing to see plans for United's first team with 8 Englishmen, 4 Mancunians, and 4 academy players in the team.

5 academy players. I forgot Mason.

It's not as if neither Pogba or Bruno will have any defensive responsibility. They're not just going to play up front. They'll both have to work back to an extent. The dm won't be abandoned. A quality DM would be great but to say we can't play that formation is daft

It’s not just about the McFred partnership, but how we’ve been attacking and defending in a particular shape for a long while now.
Obviously making adjustments isn’t a massive problem, but this proposed Pogba and Bruno as ‘8’s’ set up would need a massive change to how we play, something that seems unlikely.
