We need a striker, Halaand is one of the best out there , so why not bid?
1. 150 Mil sounds a bit too much.
2. Marina might have contacted BVB behind the scenes to see if they have the stomach to sell Halaand this season but found out they didn't and she didn't want to make a spectacle. Seems like a move out of respect.

Otherwise we're just going to carry on spending lots of money on strikers that don't make the grade here.
--------------------------------------------------------
Who says Haaland's guaranteed to succeed? And for 150-200mil (plus the various agent fees), he'd better bloody succeed!
I'm struggling to find a reason why Haaland would even wanna come now even if Dortmund accepted a bid? In a years time he gets more money, Raiola gets more money, and he gets his pick from pretty much every top club in the world. Unless he has an emotional attachment to Chelsea, which we know he doesn't, it makes no business sense what so ever for him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the greediest comment ever. As if the difference in money would be substantial enough over the span of his career that he would go hungry because it. Chelsea more than take care of their players. Nah you’re reaching.
Everyone knows Real and Barca are struggling financially as well.
Are you also suggesting players make their decisions based on their agents bonus?
Nobody is guaranteed to succeed but he’s more likely to succeed than just about all others and that’s hard to deny.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His comment is actually spot on. You act like money doesn't come into things for a player, especially with the agent he has. He will get a higher wage, higher signing on fee and have a wider choice of clubs he can go to if he waits a year. Those clubs will include Barca and Madrid too.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh sorry, I didnt mean to make this sentence invisible to you.
“Chelsea more than take care of their. players.“

It’s well known that Real and Barca are both struggling financially. So which is it? Does he care about the money or the club? He’s probably going to need to make concessions somewhere.

OK, ignore the money (which is relevant but w/e), and focus on the prospect of greater choice!
Why join Chelsea this summer when the option of Chelsea & at least 3 or 4 other clubs will be on the table next summer? Why should he limit his options?
And players absolutely do make moves based on their agents desires, and in the past have for Raiola (Lukaku/United springs to mind instantly). It shouldn't be a thing but it is unfortunately.

Why join Chelsea? Because he'd want to because of many.possible reasons?
1. Champions of Europe
2. Tuchel
3. The players in the side that will likely put it on a plate for him
4. The project pitched to him
5. The prospect of becoming a legend for us as opposed to just another in a long line of expensive but good players elsewhere.
6. Proving himself in what will likely be the best league in the world by a longshot.
I dont see why this is confusing to people. We aren't some side of farmers.

And all of those reasons will still be valid in 12 months time when we'll be in for him again along with several other clubs.
Seriously put yourself in his position. Do you jump at the chance to join Chelsea now? Or do you wait one year & give yourself a choice between Chelsea, Man Utd certainly, Man City possibly if they don't sign Kane this year, Liverpool maybe, one if not both Barca & Real almost certainly, depending on Lewandowski's situation maybe Bayern too & even PSG.
Not many players get to be in his position of having the certainty of this many top clubs interested in them at the same time at his age. The only reason he wouldn't wait would be if he wasn't confident enough in his ability to attract this interest in 12 months & chose to grab his payday quickly, but if that's the case it would kinda beg the question why he's worth the hassle in the first place

I'd be totally happy for my club to bid £150m on Haaland if we were in a position to and we needed a striker.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You are spot on mate. Haaland is worth every penny considering you are guaranteed goals and the sell on value you would get. It's a brilliant investment for any team that can afford it and Chelsea certainly can

No, you're not. You're also not Barca or Madrid.
He'll be in La Liga next summer.

What have Barca or Madrid won this term...and they play in a pub league
