1 Up Top at Home

I stopped listening today after the 3rd goal today, it was a totally lack lustre performance and its not as if motherwell really played that well at all, they'd only had 2 attempts on goal when they got the penalty. But what was worse was the the fact it was 58 mins into the game before we could force a corner. The dons, hibs and caley have all had good results this weekend, were away to the dons next and lets be honest thats a massive game.

The problem was that we made it easy for them. Swanson let the full back go, Kenneth didn't deal with the ball for the penalty and obviously Dusan made a total howler for the second.

We need to make teams work for goals.

Was gonna get along today but I had an 89th Birthday party to attend...

Glad I didn't go now, sounds like a complete washout by all standards.

My next game will be Aberdeen away on the 15th, hopefully we'll see a more direct, attack-minded United side because we play far better when we set up to win the game, not to draw it 0-0.

Patience has just run out. Utter garbage.

Swanson was playing not to get injured and i dont suppose you can blame him really as it is a massive week for him.
PH went back to the 4-5-1 when we had Conway but had Dow out there instead. It was obvious after 10 mins that it wasnt working so, all credit to him when he changed it after 30 mins. However, The Motherwell back four were so slow that we would have been better taking Daly off and moving Dow up front (he is a striker after all).
It is a shame that a manager that won us the cup and got us into Europe 2 seasons in a row is not supported by the fans and I can understand why that is. It is surely no coincidence that he has never been linked with a bigger club. What do others know that we do not?
Ultimately, he wont be sacked until we are in real danger of going down. Utd just dont have the money to pay the compo. Wat has he got left? 18months? This time next year maybe, but now, no danger.

I think that PH picks some strange teams at times. He seems to favour playing the experienced players rather than giving the young lads a run. I have mentioned in another post that I think the team lacks balance in the midfield and that young GMS should get a run on the left. PH needs to be brave enough to drop Robertson for the benefit of the team.
Having said all that I don't want to see PH get the boot. Firstly, he is the guy that helped us lift the cup playing better attacking football than Levein did. Secondly, I am not convinced that there is another manager available that can do a better job at the moment.

I would like to see PH remain in charge of United but I want him to grow a set and pick players on performance rather than experience and get United back to playing exciting attacking football!

Ive backed houston all the way but we were absolutely dire against motherwell, i hope he does manage to sort it out because i'd be even more worried if he left, look whats happened at aberdeen and hibs after calderwood and collins left (who they were both fairly successful under) that sort of event could see us in deep trouble, i have faith though i'm sure we'll sort it out.

As someone has already said, at least PH can sort out these problems over the next 2 weeks!!!!!
