We can give Kane benefit of the doubt...but that will end very soon.
My issue is with small minded fans saying Kane deserves to win other clubs trophies then with the same breath say we should be a big club.
Kane doesn't deserve anything more than loyal fans and hardworking players from our history.
Kane has played European football throughout his Spurs career and some people think this is loyalty. I hope some people realise we have had great players that turned up week in and week out for Spurs when we had no European football. This is loyalty!
Son signs 4 year contract despite being older than Kane...This is loyalty!!
Lets see what happens regarding Kane but it's pathetic small club mentality to say Kane deserves to win another club a trophy. We really will not develop as a club if we have fans that think this is acceptable.
I wish him well but certainly do not wish another club trophies..especially financially doped ones.
Big club....small mindset

Also, from the OP, this is bollox. My opinion is he at least deserves to be playing CL football. I couldn’t give a fack whether he wins trophies at another club or not but let’s face it it’s irrelevant to us because we don’t win trophies. 1 poxy league cup during ENIC’s twenty year tenure is a joke. There are levels in football and Kane is a level above where we are at, just as Bale was when he went to Madrid.
I don’t want him to go for his own sake, he’s not bigger than THFC, but I can objectively see that him playing at a bigger, more ambitious club in the CL than us is the right fit in football terms. Us fans acknowledging that won’t change our status or our chances of becoming better, the only thing that’s gonna change that is more efficient and braver ownership from Levy and ENIC which is out of the fans control.

Man City are not a bigger or more ambitious club though Ace, they just have more Wonga.

They are definitely more ambitious.

‘Gentlemen’s agreement ‘ or not, you do not just stop turning up to work. It’s completely disrespectful to the fans and club. If he has missed this test for a genuine reason, why aren’t the club saying so?
-----------------------------------------------
You've no idea of the situation around him missing yesterday. And why would the club respond to media speculation. They rarely do that.

OP
Yeh I can never get my head around our supporters that say Kane deserves to win trophies and medals at other clubs. I mean WTF do they really support Spurs or some other club.
I am only interested in players winning trophies and medals at Spurs.
Once a player leaves Spurs, I quickly forget about them.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
the issue is the reason that he wants to leave, he wants to leave because Spurs lack the ambition to win trophies and challenge for titles, something that he doesnt lack. and good luck to him, expect you to continue with an agenda for the rest of the season that Kane really screwed the club over

Load of garbage. He’s an athlete, athletes want to compete and win accolades, if they are good enough and motivated enough.
Fans don’t ‘deserve’ to win anything. We don’t control what happens on the pitch. We support who we support, silverware is a nice bonus but ultimately it’s not the motivating reason as to why most of us go to games and support who we do (unless you’re a run of the mill plastic ofc)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I go to see my club win trophies, don`t know about you. Individuals do not come into it.

If going to football to see your side win trophies is the motivating factor for you Sandy then Spurs are an odd choice 😂

One thing you have to give him is that he is not a glory hunter

During his career at Spurs Kane has had close opportunities to win many trophies.
I suppose the fact he failed is down to the rest of the team being rubbish. I suppose the fact the team had those opportunities is down to Kane and not the team.
You know the team that got from the CL QF to the final without him.
Poch, Lloris, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Rose, Dembele, Eriksen, Dele, Son, Kane, have no one to blame but themselves.

This mentality is born from the very top, a lot of our fans are so set in the ways of ENIC, they don`t know any other way and are happy to be the club that rolls over and knows its place. Fans who settle for second best are part of our problem, the club needs a mentality change from the top down, then players like Kane will not feel forced to move.

Some of our fans need to calm down a bit. All this ‘he’s dead to me’ and ‘good riddance’ is absurd language to be using about a guy that’s been with us since he was a kid and is our second highest goal scorer because he’s missed a days training.
Even if it is the result of a strop, none of us knows the full story, none of us knows what has previously been discussed between Kane and Levy and whether Kane is actually justified in standing his ground against the chairman. I don’t trust Levy one bit myself.
I also have concerns over the advice Kane is receiving - is brother is a rank amateur who is probably resorting to tactics like this because he doesn’t have the expertise to negotiate Kane out of Spurs any other way.
It’s obviously a complicated situation, and it’s disappointing for us all, but personally I prefer to hear all sides and judge it objectively before opting to hang draw and quarter one party.
If Kane literally goes on strike and forces a move out then that will leave a bitter taste and he will have ruined his legacy at the club. But we aren’t there yet, so my advice would be to keep your powder dry and see how it plays out rather than crucifying the guy the first chance you get.

I think, generally speaking, Kane is a pretty honourable bloke. He's the sort of guy that would shake a hand and stick to a promise without a binding contract. My hunch is that there was an agreement in place. He's a good character so the only reason he's gone to these lengths is because Levy has gone back on his promise. I can't think of any other reason for behaving this way. Without that unspoken promise, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. He has three years on his deal and City are rumoured to have only bid £100m, made up of cash and players).
The part I find difficult here is that it's out of character for Kane to behave this way but it's also massively out of character for Levy to make cast iron promises that his prized asset can leave for £100m. That's way too low for him. He wouldn't make that promise unless it was double that.

Not sure fans are 'happy to be the club that rolls over and knows its place', it's more that we're resigned to it.
