Romero - DONE!

Cristian Romero will fly to England within the next 48 hours with paperwork to be signed in the next few hours

This is a DONE deal after Atalanta accepted a €55m bid and the player pushed for a move to Spurs.

We are still pushing to sign at least one other centre back as well as a right back (minimum) to strengthen our defence.

Spurs are trying very hard to shift both Auier and Sissoko but we currently haven’t have received any concrete bids for the players. We are still keen to offload both Dier and Winks however again we do not have any concrete interest at this stage.

Kane’s camp have been in touch with Spurs and Kane will return to training this week with Kane feeling that the whole situation has been blowed out of proportion.

Spurs are keen to bring in some real quality over the next few weeks however the Kane situation needs to be resolved first over the coming days.

Players that spurs are keen to bring to WHL include Takehiro Tomiyasu (RB), Maxence Lacroix (CB), Dugan Vlahovic (CF) & Lautaro Martinez (CF)

I’m very happy with Romero. He has wanted Spurs since day one and one and pleaded with Atalanta to sell him to Spurs. A signing of real quality and likely to start against City.

Two problems resolved in one go:

1.Kane to City ( at last don't then need to read about this anymore particularly Simon Stone who will then have to go away and make something else up ) and get ride of a dressing room disruption.

2. Include La Porte in the deal, thereby giving us that much needed second quality CB. Added bonus of then never seeing Dier or Sanchez in our back 4 again.

Sorted. Just need offload Dier, Winks and Sissoco and bring in one quality CM, plus replace Kane with a 20 goal a season CF, and we are more or less sorted, with the books more or less balanced.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Laporte won’t want to move to Spurs, other than that I agree with all the rest. Finding a 20 goal a season striker will be a walk in the park of course with Levy offering £5m and a 2 for 1 voucher on the skywalk
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Unfortunately I agree with you, although he has gone on record as saying he is not happy loosing his place to Stones. With the 20 goal a season guy, yes if Levy does his usual scrooge thing then yeah difficult. But if he can squeeze City for anywhere near 140/150m, then surely dropping 40m on a proven striker should be financially possible. I love Kane, but his time has come. Too much silly money to turn down for a 28 year old with dodgy ankles, and a chance to use that money ( wisely ) to really build the team back up.

I would have preferred Kane stayed, but now he is trying to engineer a move away, I have zero time for him, and Spurs should just cash in. If City come in with the required £160 million plus, then Spurs should take it. If not Kane stays, but I will not be happy seeing him in a Spurs shirt, and I suspect lots of other Spurs supporters will not either.

No player swap deals for me you won't get a shift out of them if they didn't really want to come.

Straight up cash for Kane nothing else.

From TFA
"This is a DONE deal after Atalanta accepted a €55m bid and the player pushed for a move to Spurs."

So Spurs fans have NO problem when a player pushes for a move to their team BUT push for a move away and the player is castigated and called all sorts of traitorous names.

Talk about double standards.

We didnt make him push for a move and to be fair we have also had to up our offer to get the deal done. We're just 5m euro under their original asking price.

No one is criticising Kane for wanting away, just not turning up to do the job he is paid £250k a week to do.

Now if City offered £135m and Kane handed in a request, then we'd have a decision to make

That would be easy. No deal. City would have to start their bidding at close to £160 million, for Levy to even consider selling.
