Fans League, Preview

So after Tab was crowned league champion last year, and ended the run of RoFan, let’s have a look at the runners and riders for this season.

Arsenal:
Close season saw a return to management for JET, he has a pretty strong squad, but will a summer of inactivity push him further away from the top 3? I’d expect a good cup run for the gunners though.

man – Tielemans, He showed time and time again last year what a good player he is in the engine room, can he motor the gunners up the table.
One to watch: Saka, great breakthrough season last time out, that experience will do him the world of the good.

Tino’s prediction: 6th

Brentford:
After a solid season last time out, Welshy has been pretty quiet on the transfer front, has the core of a very good team here and with kind injuries could bloody the nose of a few top teams.

man – Luis Suarez, still a top finisher, and goals will always win games, can he continue to produce the goods?
One to watch: Sulemana, 19 year old Kamaldeen has a great opportunity in Ligue 1 to further enhance his growing reputation.

Tino’s Prediction 7th

Chelsea:
Fan oversaw possibly the worst season in his illustrious career, he did however join the billionaires club, Leo Bonucci is a welcome addition as is Mahrez but can he fill the Neymar void?

man – Håland, One of the most natural finishes in world football, will he get a big move? Can he keep up his phenomenal form? Can he power the Chels to yet more glory?
One to watch – Camavinga, huge expectations on the 18 year old with 82 first team games under his belt already.

Tino’s prediction 4th

Leeds:
Lubo has worked hard pre-season and strengthened his defence nicely, kept his potent attack together as well, so will be well in the mixer in a very tight league. I have no relegation worries for this one.

man – Has to be ‘Arry Kane doesn’t it? Can he fire leeds to the top of mid-table?
One to watch – after very good performances last year can Phil Foden kick on at City and further enhance Leeds’ attacking options?

Tino’s preditction 10th

Leicester:
Rof has assembled a seriously strong squad and will be hoping to go one better this season, a relatively quiet close season but some astute buys towards the end of last year in the likes of Stones and Rice could reap dividends after good performances in the Euro’s, can Felix kick on this year and fire Lesta to more glory?

man – Sterling, pace, power and goals for club and country last year, can he replicate it again?
One to watch – Mason Mount, yes we know he’s already established for club and country, but as I highlighted Foden earlier it seems fitting that we debate this generations Gerrard/Lampard

Tino’s prediction 2nd

Liverpool:
After destroying the squad to go with youth, then getting mullered on the weekly, Tino added experience in the likes of Lloris,Trippier,Zinchenko,Varane,Belotti and Icardi, should make them a tougher proposition this year – still lacking that something though to get to mid-table obscurity

man – Pedro Neto – the lad has it all, in spades
One to watch – Jens Cajuste – highly likely the tough tackling DM will be in the prem this season

Tino’s prediction 11th

Man City:
After a season of transition for the oil club, Fan has built a pretty good side, still a tad away from pushing for the top 6 but in with every chance of being “best of the rest" especially with that strike-force he’s got together.

man – Kante, holds the midfield together, it’s like playing with 12 men when he’s on the pitch.
One to watch - Nicolo Zaniolo – not sure what will hamper him more, his knees or the shackles that Jose will put on Roma, but this kid has all the ingredients to be special, very special.

Tino’s Preditction 8th

Man Utd:
Nadz love of all things French has really taken hold here, a young energetic side mixed with interesting tactics could see him pick up a fair few points, especially if he plays wide defenders for a change

man – Ndidi, a one man wrecking machine in the heart of the side, gives the red devils a solid foundation.
One to watch – Leon Bailey – Been around a bit now, but flown under the radar of the wider audience, be interesting to see how he fares at the villa.

Tino’s prediction 9th

Newcastle:
A solid end to the season and shrewd business since, see’s Newcastle as proper contenders, Possibly the strongest collection of CB’s in the league make this side a tough nut to crack, and with a lot of firepower backing it up, it’s impossible to write the barcodes off adding to last seasons Europa league trophy.

man – VVD – still possibly the best defender in the world, him and Dias are a huge partnership, and titles are won from good partnerships
One to watch – Konate, big price tag, big reputation, be interesting to see how he does in the prem and alongside teammate (on here and IRL) VVD

Tino’s prediction 3rd

Tottenham Hotspurs:
They say winning the first a title is the easy part; the real skill is defending it. So how do you improve on a title winning side? Ederson, Neves and some lad called Messi probably go some way towards it. Spurs finished the season as the team to beat, and with those additions they start the next one with an even bigger target on their backs.

man – well it can only be Messi can’t it? We finally get to see the two best of their generation go head to head this season, I felt Chelsea could have done more for this lad, but he’ll light it up in North London.
One to watch – Eljif Elmas – scouted by Rof, discarded by Fan, ends up at Spurs, this Macedonian maestro has the attributes to go far in the game

Tino’s prediction 1st

Watford:
Sports Gamings premier talent scout, keeps his conveyor belt of south America’s finest rolling on and on. LC plays this game differently to anyone else, but the reality is the same, give them 2-3 years and he’ll have a top top side, but in the right here right now Watford aren’t quite at the level (reputation wise atleast) of their peers.

man – Darwin Nunez, 14 goals and 12 assists last season for Benfica, be interesting to see if he can back it up this season.
One to watch – Kaio Jorge, in demand Santos prodigy, looks set to sign for Juve, who will probably loan him out to another Serie A club, could be a good move for him and Elsie.

Tino’s prediction 12th

Wolves:
Re-branded the franchise from Pompey, a few big signings in the shape of, Donnarumma, Koulibaly, Verratti, Neymar and Griezmann, gives Tino a few different options as he tries to move his side away form the midfield pack and make it to “best of the rest" still a centre-back shy of having a comparable squad to the top sides.

man – he may be getting on a bit now, but Ronaldo is still right up there with the best in terms of numbers, and he’ll continue to lead the line for the boys from the black country.
One to watch – Josh Doig, talented young Scottish left back joins premier league, is a headline we’ve seen before in relation to Tierney and Roberston… there’s expectation that Doig makes it a hat-trick
