Really gutted for Little Wes Fofana last night.
He was looking absolutely superb as Leicester tore Villa Real apart and cruised into a 3 - 0 lead, but the scissor tackle that broke his leg was appalling in any game, let alone a friendly.
He's going to be missing for several months, if not the whole season, and with Jonny Evans still suffering from his long term heel problem we are yet again down to the bare bones at CB. Basically Soyunco plus one of Amartey or Benkovic, neither of whom really inspire confidence for a prolonged spell in the team.
We suffered for several weeks last year with all three CBs injured at the same time, but surely we cannot manage again.
Suddenly a decent CB loan signing looks a priority.
Villa Real's Nino should be ashamed of himself.

Absolutely gutting, feel like it’s wrecked our season already! As we’ve seen with Ricardo it’s not just the the time to take it to heal it could take him months to get upto speed afterwards.
That’s twice I’ve put him in my dream team and he’s been injured within a week.. won’t be doing that again

Saw it this morning, awful for that to happen in a friendly.
Terrible for the young lad too just before a new season at 20 years old, hopefully a full recovery and no lasting effects once it's healed.
Yeah Hamilton I imagine he was in a lot of FF sides for his price, another minor frustration.
Better this happened now than in a few weeks though, still time in the window yet and Leicester do seem better than most at getting business done in a timely manner.

He’s confirmed a fibula break and if it is a closed fracture and there is nothing else, it’s actually better that I feared at the time.
I would hope we’d go and put a bid in for Kabak now and also get another CB signing - perhaps on a free or loan

Absolutely ridiculous challenge to be making in a friendly. What’s nasty about it is it looks like the guy was retaliating to an accidental foul from Fofana minutes before. Hard to prove but if so that’s disgusting.
It also is a massive blow to our season. We now start the season with 1 fit first team centreback and could be without an absolute top class centreback for a whole season.
Ruined my night really.
Wishing Big Wes a fast recovery and hoping it’s as clean as we can possibly hope for. If there is significant ligament damage it could be a long road to recovery.
Absolute sickener.

Terrible tackle and pathetic revenge from just a few moments before.
I’m sure the changes were planned but excellent of Rodgers to get players off en masse at that point, Bertrand looked like he’d have certainly gone after him had he stayed on.
Taking of which, Great to see his dead balls, hopefully Maddison and Tilly watched how to do it, if he gets a lot of time on the pitch corners may suddenly become interesting again!
I wonder if Ndidi will slot into centre Half with Soumare taking the midfield General role at least until we can get a permanent player in?
