Where does Kane go from here?

He clearly wants out. And whilst he is now coming out and saying it was never his intention to miss training, he did, so obviously trying to backtrack. Forcing his way out of the club was never going to work with Levy, and Daniel Levy has hands down one the first round.

Knowing that he doesn`t want to be at Spurs anymore, is it fair that he comes back into a team that he clearly does not want to play for anymore? Some supporters will still back him, others will say he has disrespected the club by refusing to train. Sadly I am with the latter group.

Personally I think he can never really be a Spurs player again, knowing even if he stays, he will probably just be counting the days and weeks down until he can perhaps get a move next season.

A very messy situation mostly created by Kane himself, and City obviously tapping him up, knowing he still has a fair bit of his contract to fulfil. I would have thought there would be a case for some kind of disciplinary action against City, with Pep going on Sky and saying he is keen to sign Kane, when Spurs have come out on numerous occasions and saying he is not for Sale. Absolutely blatant tapping up from City.

The question is do Spurs really want a player on their books, who is obviously now only interested in personal glory, and would happily leave for a financially doped club so he can win some cheap and meaningless medals. Anyway Spurs must not allow one player to derail the coming season. They will know how to handle this, and let`s see how it pans out.

This notion of "tapping up" is crap.
Sandy rubbish as usual.
In this day and age clubs are always contacting player's agents.
Kane has obviously had thoughts of leaving for some time. And he's finally decided he wants out.

Does anyone really want to force him to stay?
Like Levy does?

Actually,......all the exit doors seem to be closing at ManCity, Barca, and PSG,....due to other deals......so it ain't clear where he can go, ...now.
Because none of the doors could afford him.
So, yes he may well stay for a while.
But is he going to play the way he can?
Or is he going to stay safe and not risk injury?

I expect to see Harry Kane in a Spurs shirt next week.
But I do not expect to see the Harry Kane I used to see.
I expect a much more conservative and risk adverse player.

LOL Of course he was tapped up, he still has three years of his contract to fulfill, so Man City should have been nowhere near Kane. Instead you get Guardiola going on Sky telling all and sundry he wants Kane. If that is not tapping up, I don`t know what is.

Ted, I think you need to get into the 21st century.

Kane will get his head down and do his best. He's now has to resign himself to playing for Spurs and hope they do win something so he has something to show for his career. He'll be 32 by the end of his contract. Will he be in such a big demand then? Haaland is available at the end of this season. Other players will come through as well. Still, I think Kane will end up top scorer in the league.

Kane will perform at Spurs for another season if that's what we end up being dealt with. He wouldn't miss out on the opportunity to add more goals to his name. Add the world cup into the mix next year, I can't see him downing tools. Maybe another year will be best for all parties.

City - a disgraceful club who basically ignore all the official rules and every decency rule you could think of. Guess that's what you get when you have more money than anyone else. What troubles me is they get away with it time and again.

Pep. Appears to be a 100% horrible, spoilt little individual, who has clearly gone through life getting what he want, and stamps his feet when he don't get it. He will always meet his match when going up against Levy.

Kane. Has ruined his reputation with the Spurs fans, who will now not see him as "one of our own" given all of us can see exactly what his motives are. His opportunity to be included within the Spurs greats ( Perryman, Mabbutt, Blanchflower etc ) has gone for good. Sections of the crowd could even boo him this season. Money over loyalty wins again.

Levy. I don't like how he does business on the playing field, but I can't see he has done anything remotely wrong with this situation. Kane is under contract and Levy, firstly quite rightly is not pandering to the media, and is simply holding Kane to the contract he signed, unless an offer he thinks represents Kane's value comes in.

Biggest losers in this ? clearly the fans, and the club and Nuno, who have now had the start of their season trashed.

Spurs should certainly complaint to the authorities about City, and how they are clearly trying to unsettle a player with still a long way to go to finish his contract.

I give up with you Ted, you are obviously as thick as two planks if you think Kane has not been tapped up by City, despite the club saying he is not for sale.

The club need to make a statement in support of Kane’s claims.

Otherwise I think kane is stretching the truth at best which makes his actions even more disgraceful in my book.

Why hasn’t he even spoken to our new manager yet?

Why did he wait until the move to city looked all but over after they signed Grealish?

I think Kane may be a bit of a plonker. Even more do if he thinks fans will believe he always meant to come back to training.

Obviously Sandy will support Spurs being subject to complaints for signing players then. Typical stupidity.
