New season and back in league 1. It's been an awful 3 seasons, 2 relegations caused by the neglect of the previous owner and a season played behind closed doors thanks to some nasty virus. A fresh start though. A full pre season, stability through good owners, signings, no points deductions, and best of all we can finally go to the stadium to watch our team live. Had a taster last Saturday in the friendly against Blackburn but this is the real deal, the first league match at the unibol since we walked away from the ground after an uninspiring 0-0 draw against Accrington on 29th February 2020. 15000 expected today against mk Dons. The 6th meeting between the clubs. Bolton are unbeaten at home v mk, the last a 1-0 win on 16th November 2019 with an injury time goal by Daryl Murphy. Such is the change at the club that starting 11 is no longer at the club. Team news. It's been a busy summer of 9 signings and 12 leaving. Yesterday's signing of Elias Kachunga maxes the squad out of 22 professionals aged over 21. Efl rules. Only Liam Edwards and Xavier Amaechi are unavailable today. Due to injuries and covid players are at different fitness levels. Regulars from last season gilks, Santos, Lee and Doyle likely to sit this one out. Likely starting 11. 4-2-3-1. Dixon. Jones, Baptiste, Johnston, John. Williams, Sheenan. Isgrove, Sarcevic, Afolayan. Bakayoko.

I can't watch full games again on the telly it may be ok for games like the win against Reading at Wembley.
For games like yesterdays which I've watched on the telly its not the same the day after I'd only get more annoyed with the ref not knowing the rules and cost of a new telly !
Highlights covers all as well as those who don't have access to iFollow for whatever reason while we work on the build up to the next one.
These players of ours should be in the groove within two weeks with the super fit training regime and a full To Do list.

We also seem to have lost other posters. I don't recall seeing anything from "Exiled in Essex" for a while.

Thanks for posting the highlights. I watched IE, Baps and Kacha's videos. I was very impressed with Kacha, he seems an intelligent well-balanced guy.
I also enjoyed our favourite blogger. My goodness, that girl has some passion!.
Also great to hear from Exiled in Essex. If you see this, please post on the forum so we know you are still with us.

Pasty, judging by the final 60 seconds it's a yes from me.
Looking forward to attending some games in my area, never been to the new new Wimbledon, not to be confused with the old new Wimbledon we played yesterday. First two will be Ipswich and Charlton, those are going to feel like being back in the big time.

I've not posted my thoughts yet due as I was unable to attend on Saturday or follow the match. So I'm only really going off clips of the goals. Great free kick from sheehan and the interception for the second was fantastic.
Going to try and get to T'Barnsley game on Tuesday. Which, I hope, will be my first midweek game in 4 years.

Exiled I hope you get to Old Wimbledon I know you won't get lost from there going to the new old Wimbledon.
I wish I could say I was going but I do wonder. What if we'd had more imagination before moving to BL6 as we too had a dog track a short walk away. I used to walk my dog past the car park, on race nights the banter from the blokes going to the dogs always reminds me of Bolton of old.
A tenner for adults a fiver for U18's & over 65's tomorrow night for the Barnsley cup game its got to worth going now we are back with a buzz around the place.
I wish I were there.

A fiver for me. I might have gone and met up with my friend who lives in Wigan. He's a season ticket holder so not a pie eater fan. Just a gentleman that I see and talk to when we pick the kids up at school.
A bit of a drive there and back for me, but I would like to watch some games this season.
Maybe when I get back to blighty, I will have a word with him.
