Transfer update

Morning Spurs fans.

A quick update on some of the latest info coming from both inside and outside the club

Man City are really pushing to sign Kane and keen to make an improved offer on the striker. They are keen to offer cash + either Jesus or Laporte, perhaps both.

I for one would be content with £100m + Laporte. A quality left footed centre back + money for striker with a fair chunk of change to strengthen other areas in the pitch.

Spurs remain very interested in signing Martinez from Milan. Even though they say he’s not for sale, there is confidence that they will buckle under their intense financial pressure.

Vlahovic is another player that spurs admire and Spurs will do everything in their power to Sign either Vlahovic or Martinez. Both is Kane leaves even though that would be difficult.

Sissoko is getting closer to a move out of the club with a a few Italian clubs interested, most notably AC Milan who are pushing for a loa. Spurs only want to sell.

Bryan Gil joins the squad for training today and Saville fans aren’t best pleased he left the club.

So much going on right now, a very exciting time.

As I keep saying, Spurs fans will be very happy come 31st August.

I seriously don't get why Spurs would accept just £100 million plus a City cast off, who doesn't want to be at Spurs.

Surely it has to be a minimum of £160 million, then Spurs go out and buy players that do want to be at the club.

City are desperate to sign, just don't make it easy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Surely any transfer is a "cast off".

I'd rather be getting "cast offs" from City than some provincial French side.

Yes let's just move on. I'm only trying to keep everyone in the loop.

What are your thoughts on Kane? happy with £100m + Laporte?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Nope. £130m + more cash in add ons would make me happy. Can't see any City player wanting to sign for us as they would and should want CL football.

Did your mates tell you there is a chance Kane has been offered a new contract?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
✍️ There are noises coming out of Harry Kane's camp hinting that he could sign a new contract at Tottenham.

If Kane's brother is sorting the deal then its probably for 5 more years and for less money, plus Arry has to be publicly flogged for failing to arrive for training.

Pretty funny if his new contract has a release clause of £150m... and then City activate it the next day

Before you throw stuff at my head, yes, I'm aware the release clause would only activate at the end of the 2021/22 season, otherwise Levy would never rubber-stamp it

Just read Sandy's article. Harry is defo off then. Ta ra Harry mate. All the best.

The release clause could close the book on the whole thing. If it’s £150m then City won’t pay that next summer. I’m guessing it will be nearer to £100m which I think will tempt both Manchester clubs next season.

Kane has to sign the contract. Does anyone really think he will? He wants trophies and just seen Grealish sign for £100m. He knows what the best option is.

When he sits down with City he can say to them Spurs offered me £300k-£400k a week.

This puts more pressure on City paying the fee we want.

It's up in the air though..

I guess if there's no chance of a move then Kane now has leverage to say 'if you want me so badly, why don't you pay me like Lukaku, or Grealish, or Messi'.

From TFA "Spurs remain very interested in signing Martinez from Milan. Even though they say he’s not for sale, there is confidence that they will buckle under their intense financial pressure."

So let's get this straight, some Spurs fans are up in arms that City have unsettled Kane & turned his head, to the extent that some of you want City sanctioned for doing so BUT are quite happy for your own club to do the same to try and get one of their targets.

Hypocrisy much.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This is putting 2+2 and getting 5. Very embarrassing for you.

There are only a couple of idiot Spurs fans who think it is wrong that City have "tapped up" Kane.

In regards to Martinez, if Inter were not in financial trouble would we even contemplate signing him? In essence we are helping with the survival of their future.

Quite alot of Spurs fans have acknowledged tapping up happens but in the case of Kane, he wants to win trophies and sees City as his best chance to do so.

I and quite alot of other Spurs fans don't blame him. Only a few muggy Spurs fans will be bitter towards him.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What part of 'some spurs fans are up in arms' & 'some of you want sanctions' is 'putting 2+2 together to make 5'?

After all you yourself DID actually agree that 'a few muggy spurs fans' will be bitter & 'only a couple of idiot spurs fans' think its wrong that City have tapped him up.

Is not 'a few' the same as some?
Is not 'a couple' some?

The numbers may be small but it's still 'some spurs fans'. OK I'll concede that it's mainly Shandy, his sock accounts and followers, but it's still some.

BTW, I hope you keep Kane so he doesn't strengthen City.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL you seem absolutely obsessed with me, do you ever post without mentioning my name. I think you need some help mate.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did not mention you in his previous half a dozen comments, but you talk sheite a 100%, so no surprise there

any player deemed not good enough for £ity should not be deemed good enough for Spurs

2. If Messi was so desperate to stay at Barca then he could have accepted lower wages to make the deal work - I have no doubt that they could have layered in sweeteners for him in exchange for a lower salary.
---------------------------------------
Why don't you lot research the facts first before spouting all this nonsense. He took the maxiumum pay cut allowed by law. He would have played for free, but wasnt allowed to. And even if he played for free, Barca still cannot register any players, because their wage bill is still too high.
