the right thing, and end up staying at Tottenham, and seeing out the rest of his contract, and try to win some trophies at Tottenham, that will actually mean something to him, rather than just going off to a financially doped club to win some cheap medals.
I also would not be surprised if he didn`t sign a new contract, which would effectively tie him to Tottenham for life.
I think now is the time for this saga to be put to bed once and for all. I could forgive him for missing training and being badly mismanaged by those close to him, if he knuckles down, and puts this whole sorry saga behind him. Sure I know he wants medals, what player doesn`t, but at the end of the day, surely you play football not just for money and medals, but also for the love of it. And what better to do it at the club you love.
Come on Harry, up to you know, the fans will forgive, just put this all behind us.
What a forward line, Kane, Son and Martinez.
COYS
I think in the end Harry Kane will do

How about Kane signs a new 6 year long contract on the basis he can on loan to City for two seasons with a view to a third year extension. Win as many medals as he can and then return home in two to three years time.

As long as he has the "gentleman's agreement" in writing.....he should be okay!
Will Levy do that?......

Silly article, Sandy.
Absolutely nothing in it about the player himself, how he feels, what he wants to do.
Kane has to be looking at his career and wondering what his legacy will be as a player.
Is he good enough to be an all time great?
If so, how does he achieve that?
By staying at Tottenham, under the shadows of ENIC?
Or moving to a better squad?
Seeing England go down to mismanaged penalty kicks must have been the final straw for Kane.
If he plays out his days at Tottenham, what will he be? A faithful player from boy to old man who won nothing, perhaps?
And did nothing great?
I do not pretend to know what Kane is thinking,...with two or three years left as a top flight player.
But what I do know is that he has done his best for this club, and it is time for him to think more about what he wants to do.
He has my support, whatever he does.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Couldn't agree less. Kane doesn't and will never have my support to leave. Understanding why he wants to leave is different from supporting his departure. Kane has played some of his worst games in finals. Can't keep blaming the team. We win together and lose together. The fact we haven't won silverware has been down to poor selections and one of our heroes choosing finals to have off days.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100 per cent agre, that Spurs have not won anything is as much down to Kane going missing in semis and finals, same with England.
Ted as usual putting Kane and his personal glory before anything that may benefit Spurs. What Kane wants to do should not even come into it. He plays for Spurs, not for himself.
The club must always come first, not any one player. I personally could not give two hoots about Kane and his personal ambitions. Football is a team game, and individual glory should not even come into it.

I actually hope he goes. Sick and tired of him batting his eyelids at so called bigger clubs ever transfer window. Let’s mug City off for as much money as possible and buy some proper team players that want to play for spurs. They might even turn up in a final or two.

Sandy does not give two hoots, as usual.
"Football is a team game",..
Oh boy, what 6 year old doesn't know that?
" and individual glory should not even come into it."
Nor team glory either!!
And players aren't human beings, like you and me.
They're just names on the team name sheet.
Sandy...you are an inhuman dumbass!!

I must admit pre season, minus Kane, the team do seem to be putting in more and playing for each other. A committed Kane will still be an asset, but if he is only playing for personal glory, then he may as well go for £160 million or more.

Pretty much agree with everything OP has said here. Ultimately trophies are about winning, not being purchased. If Kane actually wants to “win” some trophies he needs to stay at Spurs. End of.

Clearly Spurs will never be buying another player then so that is good news for the academy youngsters.
