so far in your opinion?
Take it that Lukaku and Varane are done deals and that no other signings are made.
Who has had the best summer in the market?
Which PL side has had the best summer

But you still need the players to perform to a consistent level, especially if goals are hard to come by. Pep’s teams have always been good defensively due to his style, but some of his teams have performed better than others based on form and the players available.

Fabinho, Henderson and Thiago is as good a midfield as anywhere in Europe.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The discussion was about strength in depth beyond that first XI
Henderson is starting to get injured more
Thiago has always carried an injury here or there
Keita & AOC are made of so much glass you could hang them from the ceiling and call them a chandelier
Milner is seriously knocking on
The 2 kids are just that, kids
Not replacing a CM who was always fit and in the line up is a massive oversight

It's really not.

Ok, well don’t roll out the excuses and bemoan injuries and not having adequate replacements when the aforementioned stay true to form and miss large parts of the season through injury when the opportunity to add depth has been purposefully ignored

No.
Have you tried bigging up Utd and being as negative as possible about Liverpool at every opportunity to the point you disagree with the vast majority of bookies and pundits?
I mean I could say Utd had better get Fernandes back into form and keep Cavani fit at the beginning of the season or they'll likely be out of the title by December because their midfield is shiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

It’s a valid concern for Liverpool, to be fair. Regardless of what the vast majority of the bookies and pundits are saying. Though it seems Chelsea and City are favoured over Liverpool anyway, which is where some of these issues could cost them.

I've a lot of faith in Jones and Elliot tbf. Ox has completed his first full preseason since joining, so has Keita, so it's not like they're never ever fit. Milner is still very fit too.
I think that bad run last season has skewed perception a bit and tbh I think Klopp and his team thoroughly messed up our fitness plan because we looked dead on our feet in December but finished the season really strongly.
It could all go wrong again, sure, but I don't think it will.

I think Klopp facked up last season playing Fabinho in defence as much as he did. Fabinho started only 11 games in midfield and Liverpool won 9 of those so you’d think it’ll be unlikely Fabinho goes back into defence barring an all time bad injury crisis. Thiago suffered from having no Fabinho next to him too so it was a big knock on effect to the cohesion of the side.
It looks like Renato Sanches might be joining Liverpool so a midfield squad selection of Sanches, Fabinho, Thiago, Henderson and the others should be fine.

They’re injured a lot and average so if you are relying on them it’s a risk. Relying on Jones and Elliott potentially even more so.
Maybe it doesn’t end up a problem, but it’s not really a strange view to think it’s a concern for Liverpool if they are targeting the title.
If Liverpool can keep their spine fit and firing they’ll probably be City’s biggest threat. But I think that’s a big if when you look at the form and fitness of the cb’s and cm’s.

The PL side that "has had the best summer" is probably Brentford......
