....what's the verdict?
For me, while acknowledging my anger and frustration at the outcome of the two Malmo ties, I have to admit that draw always worried me.
Champions of Scotland playing the champions of Sweden....on paper you'd think a fairly close contest. Factor in the fact that at the time the Swedish champions were a third of the way through their season, playing well, and sitting at the top of their league, fast, fit, match-ready. The Champions of Scotland hadn't started their season having only played pre-season friendlies up to that point. For me Gers were never favourites.
Certainly we made mistakes over the two ties, going out at home to ten men looks and feels dreadful. But, and I may be clutching at straws here, I really think the over-riding factor in our defeat was our lack of fitness and match-sharpness because of where in our respective seasons this game was played. (Celtic could with justification claim the same in their ties against the Danes)
I suspect whenever we meet Scandinavian sides in these European qualification ties during our pre-season, this will always be a factor, until and unless we change our league seasons to match theirs

Easy win for Rangers tonight......not sure will that steady the ship??? Both sides have tough Europa qualifiers but no doubt we're "progressing" and Rangers seem to be stagnating/regressing.....
Let's see what happens between now and the end of the window......

It’ll be interesting to see if there are many changes to the respective squads at the end of the transfer window.
I’d expect us to add a couple and every chance Rangers lose a couple of big names.
