VVD signs 5 year contract with LFC

LFC might not be doing much business in the transfer market but they are doing a lot of work with players contracts, this will be a huge boost:-

just imagine that happening to you at your workplace

Not saying gini is the same level but he was just as important in our success considering he played literally every moment of it. same age, half the wage, couldnt even get 3 years at around 200k a week which i think was lined up at barca before psg came in with crazy money.

anyway glad to have him, before injury id have no issues him playing at the top level into his mid 30s, now though this deal could well come back to bite us on the arrse solely down to that question mark over the return from acl.

Call me mad, but I reckon the club have a pretty good idea what his fitness levels are and how he’s healed. It’s not the 70’s….

didnt think id need to point out the obvious, but apparently i do for soft slow lads like toor.

I dont disagree with the extension, im happy to have vvd at the club for 5 years.

i pointed out it could turn out to be bad if he doesnt recover from a tricky injury and that gini will basically feel justified after this news not only did he prove he was worth what he was asking for as he got 2 offers for it. But that he was indeed undervalued by those at the top, didnt feel appreciated/loved enough or however he put it.

Not that i have an real issue with any of it or dont back the clubs decision and im certainly not slitting my facking wrists

Do you actually know what Wij’s demands were? I don’t, and when you see how much he’s getting at PSG then you have to wonder just how reasonable they were for him to stay….

no but it was rumoured he was barca bound for around 200k a week before psg came in.

ofc but theyre not miracle workers, history shows how hard it still is and what problems can arise and why they have to be more cautiours etc now. Its not a wild accusation or anything is it? It very well is a cause for concern.

he was on 90k a week with us and he loved the club i doubt it would have taken psg money for him to stay just a longer contract and amongst our top earners. That would be my guess. Anyway people accepted it hes 30 or w.e and he got a 3 year contract offered by barca and then psg. Then Liverpool offer vvd 5 years who is also 30.

Again i dont feel it was unreasonable to suggest wijnaldum would find this a kick in the teeth and vindicated as a result.

the other rumour was psg offered double what barca did who offered a 3 year contract until 2024, and hes on 300k a week at psg so possibly not even 200k, but 150k.

lot of sources claim hes only on 160k a week at psg too though thats probably after tax.

Crock given new deal. One trip to Goodison this season and its game over for him
----------------------------------------------------------------------
dinosaur arms Pickford is getting it this season
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Hopefully we’re up 3-0 in the 80th minute, bring on a youngster and klopp tells him to wrap his studs around the ankle of Dickford.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Pickford will just do VVD first with a punch to clear the ‘ball’

Then nobble a skinny young lad in a ‘challenge’ for the ball. Hendo will be shuffling off
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Rafael doesn't like liability keepers. Look how quickly.he replaced Dudek. I wouldn't be too surprised if Pickford is off at the end of the season. Probably dropped at some point this season.

I'm soft. You're the stupid сunt whining like a little girl because the club signed the best centre back in the world to a new contract. Stop whining. If you want to finish yourself off, go sort it, don't whine on here you stupid сunt.

Was the best, you don't know what level he'll be at after his injury, his form had dropped even before his injury.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His form had dropped

He got injured after the first five games you imbecile.

I doubt the club are as stupid as some on here, watched a player battling back to fitness, with advice from doctors and the quality he has displayed and then thought, let's not offer him a new contract just incase he doesn't rediscover the same form he had before injury.

It's wishful thinking from some.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I wasn’t just taking about last season you cretin the tail end of the previous season he was also bang average. He played in the 7-2 humiliating defeat to Villa and didn’t Watford give you a spanking the season before? Like I said, he may never be the same player again, sad times.

that 7-2 loss was just VVD knowing what was on the horizon at Goodison.

Hi mate Robertson will teach him how to shout to put players off when they go past him
