Can And Will The Players Make A Stand

How and why in God's name the Arsenal players are continuing to put up with Mikel Arteta, I do not know. I am convinced that 20 years ago would have seen the players themselves address this management situation. Led by the Captain and senior players, they'd at least privately be demanding as a group that a manager failing so badly be replaced. Eventually taking their private demands public if not met. These players didn't even have the stones to stand up and be counted after the manager slated them all, blaming them for his mistakes.

I'm not sure how much of this is 'players today' and how much is 'Arsenal players today.' But I think it says an awful lot that the only two players who actually had the balls to stand up to Arteta and refuse to take his sh !t were Guen and AMN, two youngsters. Both players, the team and Arsenal FC have suffered and continue to. All because this team either never had the loyalty or never had the guts, to stand together behind them. No doubt each man was looking out only for himself at the time. That worked out well for everyone didn't it.

Is this just players today generally or is it just OUR players? Do you think this group of players can find the bottle to do it and how much more 'losing + arrogant git daily' will it take before they do?

Arsenal players with another manager wouldn’t do better.

They are a mish mash of okay players with some top young talent. But have no leader on or off the pitch and don’t have the balls to graft and grind out a win.

Seems to be a non playing side management issue

You could've said that about a Kane-less Spurs, yet they looked a completely different side, especially in defence, compared to under Mourinho.

I am of the opinion that this team is severely underperforming. Leno was NEVER a problem before Arteta. Cedric is our best right back but can't get game time. Mari I rates as our beat defender last season due to his positioning and calmness. He rarely looked bad...but all of a sudden looks terrible. Partey, even Xhaka...with Esr, Pepe, Saka, Laca and Auba...there are goals and good performances in all of them. Yet for some reason, most have looked downright dreadful at times over the past 12 months.

A better manger would get better individual and team performances from many of these players. Artet looks lost

Mainly the latter, there's not much leadership or hunger in our squad and they don't seem to care that much. Most of our players are getting paid three or four times what they're worth so they're happy to just sit back and fleece the club and why not, if you're Runarson on 40k on Kolasinac on 160k a week then it's like winning the lottery.

Arsenal need a proper manager. They need to keep hiring and firing until the right combination comes along.
Emery and Arteta have not been it so time to move on

Problem is to effect real change at this club in terms of player culture there has to be a mass clear out. That can't happen over a few years it has to happen all at once for the simple reason that when we bring in new players who look half decent the garbage that is already here will eventually bring them down. Take Leno for example when he came he did make the odd mistake but on the whole he was decent enough, now look at him . To be fair though I think it's probably a mixture of that toxic environment and poor coaching. We were told that there would be the biggest clear out in recent history this summer and look how that's gone, maybe its finally sinking in with those above that the rubbish already here really is no good after all no one wants them.

At the very least they could get rid of Guardiola's cone collector and get a real manager in, would be a start.

One thing we have seen Arteta do very well is make sure any players who rock the boat are out the door. They are dropped, humiliated and if they dont suck up out the door. He rules with an iron fist.

And I dont think for a minute that we couldnt get a mager who would do better. The problem now is this is Arteta's squad that he had decided who to keep or who to get rid of and has pretty much eevery player in contention with teh first tesm he has signed to a new contract or brought in. My worry is he has build a squad that does not work well together, but I do think tehe are managers who will get better out of the players available.

Problem is it was ARTETA who came in and started the boat rocking. A player expecting a basic level of respect for them and the achievements they have IS NOT "Rocking the boat.£ Especially if said player has won more accolades than the rudeass manager treating him like dirt.

Arteta is:

1. Drowning in his inexperience

2. A full blown "Little Man Syndrome" bully boy (but only to the youngsters, too scared to handle the vets that way)

3. ABSOLUTELY DIRE at picking the correct 11

4." " at picking the right formation and tactics

5. The worst manager the club has had.

6 (Worst of all). Too feckin stubborn to accept that HE IS WRONG! Instead living in some deluision of grandeur in which he's some "Iron Fist" tactical genius, who will make players play sh !t useless football and win games doing it. Thinking he can redefine football itself.

Anybody expecting ANY set of players to perform well, consistently all season with that list of negative qualities in the manager (and there's more we could add). Is quite frankly just as deluded as Arteta. People need to stop slating our players and focus ALL "Get out of this club" energy on the Lemming of a manager hell bent on taking us off the relegation cliff. All because he can't admit he was/is wrong

Sack Arteta
Get a Proven Manager
Give him the budget
Sign Top Level Players
Once the 1st one comes more quality will follow
Alongside this clear out the deadwood
Have a team thats capable of challenging again

Or
Do Nothing
Keep Arteta
Lose every game
Face Relegation

Arteta should have been sacked in May

What fcking nonsense you spout as usual.

When has it ever been a thing at any club for players to "DEMAND" a manager be removed cos they don't think he's good enough? Name one instance of that happening.. At most players might just stop bothering if they aren't impressed with the coach. Maybe the Arsenal team are already doing that?

What utter boIIocks.
