My dear old thing, my only point is that this is first week in October, not the last week in March - in a previous post, I mentioned that I have a fiver on both Sheffield clubs going up this year, and I see nothing yet to change that opinion.
Your question about "Agent Wilson" is partially right, in that I did not want him as manager, but his early form is better than expected, given his pedigree.
You can only play the cards you are dealt as a fan, and you had misgivings about Megson three games ago, we had the same feeling about Wilson at the start of the season.
You just have to get on with it - t'was ever thus.

The United fans complaining about us being above United are probably the same ones who have done the same thing for the whole season

That said, what Chunder just said was actually right.

A considered responce from a blunt, most unexpected
But just to correct one point, I havent yet called for Meggo's head. I am not a fan who believes in the managerial merry go round.

Morning fellow feathered fans, Bacon drenched pigs and six fingered !nbreds.
As much as ins for me to say this I agree with Chunders here. Although we are 4th we cannot go about thinking that we will go up or storm the league, for me the jury is still out on Meggy as is with Agent Didwell with many disgruntled blunts despite their somewhat suprisingly good start. To early to judge where we will both end up

With you on that, Gloss - how many managers did we have last season, and where did it get us?

As much as it pains me sorry

MM & his M etc - thanks for your kind greeting.
If you look at the top six now, I think that these are the teams that will be there or thereabouts come April.

It's actually nice to have a Blade on here. Especially someone making decent points. It's the only thing I miss about old 606 (apart from The Reev, of course) .
For me, it's great to see the playing field looking level. Very pleased to see it swinging our way but that means nothing in derbies. It's anyones.

Chunder, yes that top six looks like the ones who should be up there come the end. I still think we are a little fragile, especially when we concede the first goal, we have so far seemed to have no plan B if the opposition score first. Since the Stevenage "blip" we have looked fairly solid and able to score.
Biggest improvement so far this season is that we have won 2 and drawn 1 against teams above us when we played them, that is something we really struggled with last season and if we are to go up we will need to keep this trend going.
But, yes it is nice to see us challenging early in the season, definitely something to build on for the rest of the season. As the Blades game has been postponed on Saturday, that means we are guaranteed to be above them when we play them, definitely something to smile about!!
