Funnily enough, I remember this became a theme during Wenger's worst years too. The slow build up, eventually culminating in the aimless crosses into the box. Arsenal with a diminutive or simply aerially challenged forward up against several defenders who cut off each cross with ease.
Opposition teams set up to encourage it and Arsenal played right into their hands almost every time.
Some people may claim Arteta's hands are tied until we make the right recruitments but it should be the other way around.
Until he can prove he's capable of playing a better style, at least show the signs of being able to get a tune out of the players he has, pointing to a style that could work (but needs the right players) then he shouldn't be trusted to make a single acquisition.

Theres a common element to the years of the slow build up. A factor that hugely influences the team to play the slow possession based game.

For me it's not the slow build up, it's its the ridiculous amount of crosses via Tierney to absolutely no one in the box

Very good breakdown of what almost everyone can see. Good for him calling it out.
Arteta has never had a defined style because he hasn't coached youth levels or B teams or anything to earn or naturally show any sort of coaching acumen.

Even in Wenger's worst years, we were never this utterly soul suck BORING to watch and he was still able to make the team play well enough to never look like relegation material.
The Arteta experiment needs to end and it needs to end NOW! Fans need to get vocal real quick unless they want to be facing a relegation fight come Jan.
