To be fair Chelsea spent almost £400m this season and last so no shame losing here. We can catch them only if we can match their spending.

Yes but your owner lets his managers spend 80 mil to get a single player. Our owner forces the managers to get 3 or 4 players for the same money. When that's how the money is being spent then comparing our netspends useless as a guage because yours hasn't been spent the same way despite the similar amounts.

It is however the perfect demonstration and cash figures proof of the ultimate flaw that's been in the club since ke took charge of the purse strings. It ALL about HOW HE INSISTS transfer money is spent, not the amount he hands over. Because of his refusal to pay season after season after season, where you guys Utd and City have accumulated squads full of top quality over the last ten years, WE'VE accumulated alot of average players. And to complete the perfect storm the owner and his cheapness again has appointed and extended the most incompetent god awful manager of all time.

Arteta's extension sums up the FAILURE of an owner that we have and again demonstrates that the owner has been/is the underlying long-term problem. If he wasn't then Arteta would have been sacked around game 10-14 last season, when it SHOULD have happened.
