Any Reason Chilwell Isn't Being Played?

Get James in. Chilwell will be eased in. But I kind of expect Chilwell to start against Liverpool next week.

Don't think TT rates him quite honestly

He will play when we need to be more defensive. I also agree that it seems that TT doesn't like him that much.

TT is realised that Alonso is a useful left wing back something Lampard and will give him some game time. He likes Chilwell and played him in the CL and FA cup finals. Better off with James or to be more sure of a playing defender go for Rudiger or even the Mendy.

Yeah we will have a lot of games...& of course he will play, but won't be selected for the top 4 clashes I suspect

Chilwell played a lot last season under Tuchel so he'll inevitably play a lot this season too. He's elected to go with Alonso at the moment but there's little chance that Alonso will be a regular starter over the season.
