Well played Bielsa for taking this a bit more seriously this year, now we have another opportunity for more match time for fringe players and players coming back.

And well done Leeds for getting it done in 90 minutes!

Well done Leeds and Bielsa for recognising the importance of taking these cup ties against what might appear on paper to be inferior opposition but teams like Crewe deserved the respect they were shown by playing a strong side and it wasn't that long ago we were in the same league.

It was a professional performance that in the end overpowered Crewe's gutsy resistance and it just generates such a positive vibe and gives the team a big boost of confidence to take forward into Sunday now and has given the Leeds fans a lift too.

It was absolutely bouncing in the stadium. Not seen an atmosphere like that at a cup game since Sam Byram pocketed Gareth Bale.

Thought we played very well, and the scoreline in no way flattered us, even if the goals came late. Said in the first half that I thought our fitness and depth would come out on top, and was proved right.

Hard to judge too much because of the opposition, but I've come away happy.

Back from the game. No doubt that Crewe had one thing in mind - 0-0 and penalties after 90mins.

They wasted time at every opportunity. Players rolling about “shot”. Every goal kick, throw in, free kick took an age.

Their prerogative of course and up to us to break them down. Paddy came on and changed the game.

Once we got the first then Crewe had to come out and we exploited the space.

A decent win in the end,

Lubo/Stoopo/Anyone who attended tonight, how did Forshaw do? Really hoping he's going to play a part this season.

Just got back, Forshaw was first class, did 3 crashing tackles and came out fine.
Llorente and Harrison were graet.

Brilliant. Cheers Hepworth. Great to hear.

Thought Forshaw flagged as his game went along, but before that he was tenacious and tidy, throwing himself into challenges, which is great to see in the circumstances.

I've only seen the highlights but damn, Harrison looked
like a man possessed. What a game he must've had.
