now,unless my maths is failing me that also shows that manchester united have won more than liverpool.

you can't write off the club world championships when you have to win the champions league just to enter it. it is also more difficult to win than the european cup was back in the 70's and 80's. if you're looking at the old european cup format then that really should be written off as a minor trophy. but i'll let you count it anyway.
