Because there are at least 2, maybe 3 teams better than Chelsea.
Bringing in Lakaku, doesn't take you from a team that finished 4th, to a team capable of winning the PL.
Chelsea would have to collect between 20 to 25 more points than they have managed in the last 3 years, to get close to winning the Prem.
Don't see that happening personally.

Hasn't been anywhere near good enough to overcome Citys expected points haul anyway.

His tactics of counter attack football against the big teams will get him results in the cup but the league is different which means you need to attack. He will come up short when his team has to dominate possession at home against one of the big 6.

Lukaku was very average yesterday and the ball kept bouncing off his feet like it was a hot potato. Virgil kept him in his pocket.

You are forgetting we finished 4th with Lampard in charge for 19 PL games. We didn't play like a 4th place team under Tuchel. We played like title contenders, fa cup finalists and Eropean champions. And Lukaku is the difference that makes us serious title contenders.
