Why do you have James replacing Costa in our starting 11 when Costa hasn't been in our starting 11 in any of our 3 league matches?

Do you really think James will replace our number 9?

Jonty, just occasionally, try reading comments more carefully before you respond.

I have made no mention of either Costa or James being an automatic starter, just suggesting that James is provide immediate upgrade in competition for the midfield places. It is also a stated transfer policy; we only bring in players whi will improve on those Bielsa already has available.

Diós mío! For some reason you appear to have had this weird personal gripe for these past four years….

Either way, tone it down, and let’s wait and see where James fits in, if he signs. Given Bielsa’s previous form, it is highly unlikely that he will start the first game after the international break anyway.

Looking back i posted on May 15th that the two main targets were a LB and right footed wide player which is what we have got,
Is it enough who knows, reading social media half the fan base wants signings galore and the other half want the under 23s playing, who would be a manager or owner!

It's so simple from an armchair, or from a keyboard - oh, plus fantasy football budgets.

Club are doing well, we're doing well. 2nd season, it's going to be tougher, but i think we'll be fine.

I really am surprised at the slagging off of James by Man U fans but I do think he will flurrish under Bielsa and like Wilf Saha and Lakaku who also didn't have the best of experiences at O.T. James will get better and better and have the last laugh over his man u critics.

I'm not concerned in regards to him as a player.

23, Welsh international regular, played well over 50 games for man u.

Clearly there is a player there, and when you look at how well other players have developed under bielsa then there is a lot to get excited about.

I just can't shake thats inking feeling I get when I look at some of the quotes about what we are paying.

The price of £25 million does seem about 5 million too much and I think any other club would have got him cheaper.
I think Kent at Rangers was £20 million maximum and although not as fast I think he is more versatile than James but I think we just have to accept Bielsa's judgement on this.
James's pace will be a real asset but like Harrison and a few others it's the final ball we have mostly been lacking.
As for Dallas I see him now playing as another holding midfielder alongside KP unless we sign someone else for that position.
It will be tough on Dallas and Klich to be playing second fiddle after last seasons performances but there is no sentiment with Bielsa and also Rodrigo will be an expensive sub too alongside Koch, Roberts and Struiyk but we will have more depth at our disposal now.
