Romero and Lo Celso have both

travelled to South America to play for Argentina. They will now both miss games when they come back, because they have to self isolate. As I understand it, there are two possibly three International breaks this side of Xmas, so how available will either be for Spurs, if they have to isolate every time they go on International Duty.

Romero is on a year long loan, with a view to buying permanently, but what would be the point if he seems to prefer to play for his country than Spurs, and is going to miss most of the first part of the season? He has only just turned up, is trying to force his way into the First XI, so not being available for large parts of the season is hardly going to help his case for Spurs buying him permanently.

Not a good situation, and I do wish the club had acted, and stopped them travelling. Yes I get they want to play for their country, but the club pay their wages, not their country.

MUST BE ANGRY ABOUT SOMETHING!!!

Frustrating as a fan of the club, but not frustrated at the players, just the situation.

They have every right to go and represent their country. Plus if they miss the qualifiers and their replacements perform well, they miss the World Cup. What player who is worthy of that call up is going to jeopardise missing out (if you're Messi then you know you get the call up regardless, but not everyone is in that boat)

It's now up to the club to plan for the absences and make plans. But nothing against the players for choosing to represent their country.

Clubs cannot force players to miss international duty.

Competitive games, anyway

Totally agree sandy. FIFA and the Argie FA do NOT pay their wages. Spurs do. If they don't care enough about Spurs to play for us instead of for their country then they can rot in the Spurs reserve team for all I care.

Daniel Levy must shoulder a lot of blame for taking zero action on this

Argentina is on the Red List.

No obligation to release players for international duty

Yeh I don`t get why any player should be going to Red List Country for any reason.

100 per cent agree, I would put them in the Conference Team on their return. They are obviously putting country over club, their choice I suppose, but they shouldn`t be considered for 1st team duty if they are going to vanish again at the next International Break.

Apparently none of the Brazilian Prem players have travelled, so Spurs should have definitely stepped in and had a word with both Lo Celso and Romero about travelling to a Red List Country.

They aren’t going to Argentina though. Only playing the first two then going to a Greek island to isolate but also able to train then once back here are okay to play straight away.

Will miss one league game and one conference league game.

No big deal

That answers my original question about where they were playing.
