Yep agree. Can understand under Strauss why we focused on white ball at the time. We got the 50 over competition and are now very strong in white ball

That's great, I want to see us succeed but it's gone too far to the extent its damaged county cricket and then the Test side. We need to be playing the County championship in June July and August. If that means alongside the white ball competitions so be it. We need to change the county point scoring structure to reward the factors that matter to Test cricket such as long batting - perhaps less on the win but more the grafted draws and the like

Equally bizarre is the comment about players not born in England. We live in a multicultural society where people move freely. I myself have 6 different nationalities making up my parents and grandparents. For the record in that last test there were 10 players born in England only Malan wasn't- not that it really matters.

Its an even more bizarre statement statement suggest Stokes concocted a plan to cheat as you call it

I don't think they should be called cheats but I do think it's an interesting question to ask would they have done the same if England were winning 2-1
