We have faced 70 shots against us so far in our 1st 4 games, which is the most shots against any team in the league. We have also created the least chances in the whole league. If that isn’t a worrying stat, I really don’t know what is.
Like I said after the Watford game, I won’t be getting my hopes up with this Spurs side because the inevitable always happens and they always let you down. I don’t care what anyone says, injuries or no injuries, we are just not good enough. We are a bang average outfit that will finish no higher than 8th/9th
Those stats are really alarming and just goes to show our defence and midfield hasn’t improved whatsoever. We still let the opposition murder us and inevitably the goals will eventually fly in on the opposite team, hence the Palace score yesterday
Harry Kane and Son not on it = no hope. We have 0 goal scorers in that team apart from these 2. If one of them gets injured, then we are literally relying on the other to perform every game, as nobody else in that team can hit a barn door. None of Dele Ali , Lucas or Bergwijn should ever be starting regularly, but they do because we have nothing else.
A p** poor side that will eventually get exposed and that’s the truth of it. Nobody likes too hear it, but I think deep down you know I’m correct here. Looking forward to another gutless and painful display against Chelsea where Lukaku will rip our defence a new a** hole.
Worrying stat

A lot was made of our defence under Nuno but the problem is it is difficult not to be solid defensively when you play with basically a back seven.

Nuno is completely the wrong choice of manager after the carnage of Jose's era. We needed someone who could come in ,even short term, and really shake up the attacking side of our game which has been abysmal for 2-3 years. Nuno is way to cautious and the opposite of Levy's own statement of getting back to "the Tottenham way of playing".Ndombele stealing a living certainly isnt helping either as crying out for a game changer or even someone who can hold onto the ball for 5 seconds. Turgid stuff

I like him as a character but I think you could be right. Nothing from our start suggests we will be playing the attacking football Levy tried telling us in is interviews. The managerial search was an absolute farce let’s be honest

As always the one common denominator remains, ENIC and Levy.
Our squad is overall weaker than a year ago. Arguably we have improved the defence but the midfield and attacking areas are still not good enough.
They have not replaced Bale`s input.
They have not brought in another striker.
They have not brought in a creative player.
They have not replaced and upgraded Winks
They have replaced Lamela with young and unproven
They have not solved the Ndombele problem.
For me the biggest problem is midfield, we have Ndombele who is being frozen out, Lo Celso who is injury prone and who has not really set the world on fire, Skipp who is new to the PL, Hojberg who I don`t rate as highly as some on here do and Winks who is just not good enough. It is the same midfield that was being dominated last season barring Skipp for Sissoko, so there is no wonder we have the same problems.

You're not going to like what happens next after Nuno reacts to a heavy defeat. It might be October before you get out of your own half.

Yeah, we finished 7th twice under Nuno whilst playing some of the most turgid football the Premier League has witnessed.

This is beginning to worry me.
I did not see the game but it sounds like we were dominated by Palace. The stats certainly back that up, even before the .
I know we were denied some pretty expensive talent on the day, but the overall patterns of play we have seen so far this season have not been inspiring.
There is a real inability to control games, be on the front foot, dominate the opposition either in possession or chances and a continued passiveness in our approach.
The overall issue is the lack of a technician in the CM, either to create chances or to better control games. Skipp to me is an insurance policy - backup to PEH or when we look to defend what we have, not a starter.
Dele is not a CM that operates well with 2 DMs behind him. He is not so creative as to expect him to deliver all the vision from CM, he is more of a finisher. If we had a passer alongside PEH then Dele can find those pockets and be more effective but ulitmately in our current set up its Kane and Dele who are expected to create the chances and that is very weak.
Ultimately i think we have the players. GLC alongside PEH and NDombele in advance of them is far more creative. Circumstances have prevented this from being possible so far but i hope it is what Nuno has in his mind for the future. If not then we will find ourselves continuing to watch a backfoot defensive Spurs for the foreseeable future.
IMO we have the players, they just need to deliver and for me the likes of GLC, NDombele are in the last chance saloon. You can understand why the management have not replaced them as they are £100m worth of talent that we cannot afford to have under performing or to just go out there and replace them - there was certainly no interest in them
