I went with a Crystal Palace supporting mate to watch the Spurs game on Saturday and I sat amongst the Palace fans. What an unpleasant experience (as we chose that game to be absolutely sh*t)! Although I must admit it was a cracking atmosphere!
Our seats were actually quite close to the away (Spurs) fans and I was so proud of the great support the Spurs fans gave to the team and I was itching to join in with the various songs but decided, out of respect to my mate, not to!
When Tanganga was sent off all the Palace fans around me turned to the Spurs section and started baiting them and taking the mick. At that point I knew that we had no chance of winning the game (and suspected we’d lose it) so I was so annoyed. and nearly kicked off myself and wanted to tell the Palace fans around me to p*ss off, but I didn't and remained in control!
I loved it when the Spurs fans just sang out “he’s one of our own" to Tanganga as he exited the pitch – what support for the young lad.
Has anyone else sat with the way fans for games that we've lost and how did you feel/behave?

Oh also Selhurst Park when we beat Wimbledon in the league cup semi in 99. Over 3/4 of the ground that day was Spurs complete with a pitch invasion too.

I can't believe u am going to admit this on here but a few seasons ago a mate of mine who is an arsenal fan asked me to go the Arsenal West ham game.
I am not great and keeping my mouth shut and I'm one those who is a bit of a pr1ckkkk when in had a few beers.
Always said I'd never do it but he doesn't really have any mates who support the same team so I said I'd do it. Started drinking at 8am and when I got to the game I was facked.
Obviously hate both team so didn't matter too much but arsenal scored wihh about 10mins to go and I started kicking off with the idiots around me haha.
I had a Spurs tattoo on my forearm and " to dare is is to do" on my neck, albeit this isn't obvious unless u know as its written in a way to be a tad subtle.
Won't ever do that again though, not because I felt threatened but just because it was a horrible experience.

I remember going to the Emirates with my ex-girlfriend as she was an Arsenal fan to watch some pointless league cup game. It was back when Wilshere and Ramsay were around 16-17 and it was interesting to watch them both play. It was around the same time Ramos had us playing some turgid stuff and I couldn't believe how good these kids at Arsenal were at that age but it just felt dirty standing with the other Arsenal fans. I had a face like a slapped arrrrrrse all game.

I would never do it again. I could never do it if Spurs were playing and I was in with them. No way.

Living in the midlands, I've also done this a few times, with mixed results. I had a West Brom season ticket until the 17/18 season so I've seen that fixture many times, and been to WHL in the Albion away end 4 times, so ignoring those, off the top of my head:
Villa 1 Spurs 2 (the Kane deflected free kick. Spurs fans went absolutely mental)
Villa 0 Spurs 2 (Kane twice)
Stoke 0 Spurs 4 (Son x2, Alli, Kane)
Leicester 1 Spurs 1 (Alli's first goal)
Think that's it. Only time I've ever been able to be in the Spurs end is at Wembley - 0-1 Leverkusen, 3-1 Dortmund, and, most memorably, 3-1 Madrid. What a night and atmosphere that was.

Was in that away end for the Kane free kick and I'd say I'd love to have seen that from a home fans point of view seeing is going mental. Iv been to some decent away games with fans going mental at a goal but that would probably rank in my top 5.

Always an edgy experience sitting with opposing fans when your team is playing. I took my brother in law to Arsenal to see United. He has a strong manc accent and spent the whole afternoon bricking it. I must admit I kept loudly engaging him in conversation while he responded with non vocal grunts and mmms. He was livid with me but I thought it was a hoot. I think the gooners around us just assumed he had learning difficulties and I was his carer.

Only time for me was vs Southampton, FA Cup replay when we Ossie as manager, and the likes of Teddy, Barmby, Anderton, Popescu, Dumitrescu, Klinsmann.
We were losing 2-0 at half time and i trudged off to the toilet in a fecking mood thinking what a waste of time and money ( i was a poor student) and not looking forward to the journey home.
Lowe and behold we turned it around with a Ronnie Rosenthal hattrick AET. 5-2 so happy in the end. Saints being a "family club" so all very friendly so never felt threatened.

Only internally as although the atmosphere was generally not aggressive, some around me were getting a bit fecked off with what was happening, especially Grobellar throwing a few in
