I am technically one of the 'Ole In' or 'Olesexual' lot. By that I mean one of a handful on here who saw Ole as the man to kick start a rebuild of the club in terms of staffing, playing personnel and improving the overall culture. I was reluctant however to say Ole was the man for the very long haul, who can stay for >5 years and bring the big honours back to the club consistently. He could be the manager to leave behind a good group of players and culture for someone to take further forward. Unlike the mess Jose left.
I think Ole has been succeeding in the aspects above. He has also brought incremental improvements in our league position and form, although a trophy has eluded him.
This season, despite flaws in our midfield, I now have bigger expectations. To at least mount a serious challenge for the league, go deep in the CL or win one of the cups.
At first viewing of the season, some good results, a couple poor. Apart from the Leeds game, I've not been too happy with our overall performances. Maybe its too early in the season to judge. Ole could now be at the point in his United career where it could either way for him.
Make or break season for Ole?

On a positive note, Villareal and Atalanta ended 2-2 so it wasn’t too bad.
And Coquelin was sent off, will missed the game against us
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah that's a good result. When PSG and Liepzig won a game apiece against each other last season, my heart sank. Just knew that we'd go out.

If United had any ambition they would go for Graham Potter
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine even having the gall to comment when u have nuno in charge, ur best player wants to leave and your team play in the dregs of europe in a league created for z listers😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How does all that mean I can't have an opinion on United though?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No. Sort your own chit out before trying to be a smart ars3
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, Spurtle definitely needs to fire Nuno, sell Kane to fund a rebuild and find a new coach. What the fack is he doing on Ja606 when he’s got all that on his to-do list.
Ignore not-so Cleverson mate, he likes giving it Billy Big Bollox but he’s a facking glory boy Brummie plastic, probbaly been to less games than Hafi. Plus he always shoots his tampon out when Utd lose as he has to go on the same one man crusade against the Ole Out brigade every time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's a bit on the sensitive side isn't he? Don't know what I said that was so wrong anyway. Suggesting Potter is an upgrade on Ole is pretty obvious I would have thought.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine suggesting that when your manager is worse than ours. Does that help?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I would still be suggesting that if we had Neil Warnock. Don't see what your point is.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Exactly. Also, is Nuno worse than Ole? That’s at best debatable.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The jose junior. Good luck yorkshire mug
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha, good one plastic Percy!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Imagine danny dyer wanna be not being able to argue back as he knows his club after being rejected by a host of managers, end up with a crapper version of the man they sacked whilst sat in his arm chair in yorkshirw😂😂

I think he will be out if we don’t make the knock out stages.
And rightly so to be fair. Yes we can lay the blame on AWB and bloody Lingard for two moments of idiocy but he got it totally wrong at half time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Rightly or wrongly I think he would have to be out of the title race also for that to happen.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, I kind of feel Solskjær has probably earned a bit of credit and can’t imagine him being sacked mid-season. I always think two things will get a United manager sacked: missing out on CL or losing the dressing room. Van Gaal did the former, José the latter and Moyes achieved both. They sound pretty obvious but I feel Ole would be given a bit more time because of this. If a couple of the defeats are really disastrous, then maybe…
It would be pretty disappointing to go out of this group though, to say the least. It is, as the OP says, a big season for Solskjær. If we win nothing and there’s still an air of confusion about the performances, nobody can really have any complaints if he’s replaced in summer.

Eh? I’ve literally written an article today questioning Nuno, the clubs decisions aren’t my decisions you plank. I know plastic fans like you think that way, because you’re in it for the reflected glory. And is Nuno crapper than 2021 Jose, or Ole? Highly debatable. And what the fack has my now residing in Yorkshire have to do with anything ffs

People keep making out Ole has somehow improved us massively since taking over...
Not true.
He took over a team that finished on 81 points the season prior, and won trophies.
He has spent 450 million, we have by far the highest wage bill in the league.
No trophies to show for it. We look like a team of strangers still most of the time, relying on individual talent to beat teams. But we aren't going to get to 85-90 points relying on individual players, which is why we aren't going to win the league.
If a new manager came in next year or the year after... he would need to buy a new right back, 2 x centre mids, goalkeeper, and a striker who isn't the wrong side of 35 years old.
By the time he is sacked in a year or two, the squad won't be much better than it was when he took over, despite the ridiculous spending.

If Ole won't get us to the semifinals of CL or win us the PL, he should be out of Utd. It will be 10 years of mediocrity by end of this season otherwise.

Ole's record in Europe is really poor with United and I feel like he can ill afford to not get through the group you're in this season.
