An article criticising Ole, from me ! Yes.
Now I don't know anything about defensive shape, tactics, strategy, having a waterproof defence, it's not why I watch football. But I know a man who does. Thomas Tuchel.
Now we're not going to hire him. We could hire a coach who is perceived as good. But, how hard can it be. Get the films of all the Chelsea games, study them. Put them through the computer so you see where each player goes in different situations.
What am I missing? I mean it's not done in secret, it's there on the pitch every week.
So come on Ole, you and the coaches get it sussed. And while you're at it, study how the midfield interact with them.
You've done a lot right, but we are letting inferior teams look better than us, so do something else right and sort it out. Then we can win something.
Our defensive shape

Some muppets here will argue Ole coaches our defence, midfield and attack, even our passing is coached
Did we look like a well drilled, well coached team yesterday?! Did we feck!
Yes AWB's sending off didn't help but what also didn't help was Ole cowering with a back 5 and taking off our main goal threats. Against Young Boys ffs!
Ole's CL record is 7 defeats in 11 as manager of Utd! Time to get rid.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What about his league record.
And that's not Ole's record, it's the teams. In other words it's a collective. Last night he got things wrong, but awb and Lingard let him down.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
His league record isn't great.
Took over a team who finished on 81 points season before, spent 450 mill, hasn't got close to that total since.

Teams practice with 10 men all the time, what annoyed me was why we allowed Young Boys to run us ragged in CM? When was the last time Utd reverted to a back 5 and it paid off?
Ole will be under immense scrutiny this season for all the money he's spent.
Can't legislate against Jesse's eff up or AWB's red but what you can't also can't condone is amateur use of subs. This is mainly on Ole.

Why can't they differentiate between Ole the football legend versus Ole the average manager?!
Once they do that like the rest of us they will see the light!

Well he can do some wrong in my eyes, hence the thread. Equally there are people who can only see the bad. If we have five or six good games it's either no post, or grudging praise, or it's down to the players. Then one poor game and it's Ole's fault and he should go. You know that's true.
You mention the 81 points the season before, but not the mess we were in, and position in the league when he arrived.
If you can never acknowledge the good, don't expect people to agree when you only talk about the bad

Not the attack though, Plumpy, they don't get coached, it's all improvised isn't it?

Ole doesn’t need to watch any other team. We do have a general game plan for defending, keeping the shape and pressing etc. Issue is we are poor at implementing them. It is down to lack of coaching and the intensity of training drills IMO.
Ole was using using generally similar tactics since he joined. He had more than enough time to train the team. Fact that we are still struggling with the basics like keeping the shape or playing out from back, shows he is either half assing the training drills or he is clueless on how to drill a team. Either way something has to change if United are to get to the next level.

Our attack looks disjointed most of the time, which is why we exited the champions league group stages last year, and couldn't win the europa league against poor sides.
