21-22 squad submitted

Bare bones of a squad for me.
Will need to bulk up in next window.

I can only presume we have registered these players as we view them as having potential at the club and yes, we are at our quota for foreign players in the senior squad. That means no more in January, unless we sell any. The 4 HGP are Ruddy, Coady, Kilman and Sarkic.

Rasmussen is still on the injury list, if I'm not mistaken.

No. But we had never heard of Fosun before they took over.................... Fatso.

I can imagine Jordao, Shabani or OBR being loaned out in Jan if fit or if not just dropped from the list to accomodate new arrivals.

Was going to say one of the keepers could be binned off if necessary and bring back Sondegaard from his loan but it would have to be Sarkic or Ruddy which would which would leave us short of a home grown, unless the new signing was home grown. Bit of a juggling act.

I don't think you can just drop players from a registered list Goldi, as that would mean they are not registered with any club and could cause legal problems. They would have to be sold to accommodate any new arrivals. That's my take on it. I could be wrong.

We're not short of home grown players, as it's the 17 foreign players registered that are the most important. Sondergaard is still only 20 and as he came to us in January 2018 he would be considered home grown in future squads.

Not sure I understand why Sarkic is registered if he is also registered elsewhere?

He's not registered anywhere else Cinci, he's just on loan at Birmingham.

Yeah but surely they would have to register him to play right? Like we have registered Trincao while he is on loan.

Maybe we had to register him as he is someone we would immediately recall should we have an injury to Sa or Ruddy. If he wasn't registered he wouldn't be able to play for us i guess.

Registration of Players - FIFA Article 5.3 - Three & Two Rule

In accordance with FIFA Regulations a Player may be registered with a maximum of three clubs during one season. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in official matches for two clubs.

Ah ok, it must be basically down to covering bases then with Sarkic, can register him so why not, he is our third keeper in reality and would be recalled in emergency.
