On Sunday Wolves travel to Southampton for our third away game of the season.
Having only gained 3 points from our first 5 games, it’s time to put some wins together before we slip any further down the table.

Wednesday’s performance against Spurs was encouraging insomuch as we managed to score 2 goals. However the way that the heads dropped after Tottenham’s first goal was a worry. After a promising start, we allowed them 30 minutes of domination before Dendoncker’s well struck header lit the blue touch paper and revitalised the players.

Yerson Mosquera will be unavailable again having been stretchered off after 5 minutes with apparently, a re-occurrence of his previous hamstring injury.
Rayan Ait-Nouri also had to be subbed due to a concussion injury and is also likely to be unavailable.

Southampton are also having a poor start to the season having not won a game yet. However their 4 draws from 5 games gives them one point more than us and puts them one place above in the table.

The game will be broadcast live on Sky Premier League and Main Event.

Gem’s prediction 0-1

we need to start playing to our strengths, and we have a lot of attacking talent, of course the flip side is, if we go with more attacking players in the line-up then as our squad is still light, we have less game changers coming off the bench

We do have talented attacking players but they are not a bunch that are good at turning chances into goals. If Raul now returns to form that will help enormously. It’s a difficult balance with team selection. Everyone wants us to be more positive but unless we hold the opposition to 0 or 1 goal we look unlikely to win

If Bruno's comments last week are anything to go by then we will be playing a back three for a while. He was basically saying he prefers a back four but the players don't fit that system. A veiled dig at the window by the sound of it.

I did read on a BBC website recently that Nuno got the job at Spurs because their Sporting Director wanted a defensive minded coach.

Not sure I'd tinker too much with the squad for the next game. Boly's distribution of the ball more than 5 yards has been abysmal, so I'd keep Saiss for now. Moutinho has been solid all season and deserves his starting spot. Up front, we have to match the pace of their forwards and for that game I'd certainly start Traore.

Still waiting to be credited with the other 3 points Shiiteteam7?

So far we have only been given 3 after beating Saints.
