Taking The Football Law Into Your Own Hands

If somebody got me then it was my mission to get them back with the first chance I got. It's just the way it is. When you're playing, you have your individual battles and you want to come out best or you leave the pitch thinking shoulda, woulda, coulda.

There was only one time I didn't get the сunt back, ball bounced up just in front of me and as I watched it come down my eyes light up and I had a vision I was gonna hit a perfect volleyed cross(probably would have went out for a throw in but still) as I swung my leg out, legs parted, somebody came in, studs first into my nuts. I had to go off. I lay on the sideline for about ten minutes

I was pretty calm when I played in my 20s. Probably too calm and shy and never really had a go back at anyone or get involved in any fighting. Probably because I was quite small and 5ft 7! It did help getting free kicks and penalties though because when I did go to ground (easily at times) I nearly always got the decision probably because I was seen as an 'honest' player.

I was always keeper. It was the best and worst position. U can physically see a feck up happening and its down to u. 😂

I was quite good at slowing down enough so that the keeper thought they could get to the ball then nipping in and either being fouled or going round the keeper and scoring. One advantage of being slight I suppose. Bit od a belly now unfortunately but probably a better player too due to thinking about what I'm doing more.
