... and that's ok
We shouldn't be afraid of it and we have to do what's right for the club.
It's not a betrayal to Ole or an insult to him either. We can still thank him and we both move on with mutual respect.

He's going nowhere for the time being.

Yeah I'm resigned to that fact. He can have this season as some would say he has earned it.
But we have to move on next season.

Pre Ronaldo he'd have survived years but Ronnie will get him out.

As long as he finishes top four, the club will likely keep him, imo. That’s been the red line for the clubs hierarchy, don’t finish top four, or look like you won’t finish top four and you’re out, finish top four and you’re alright.
Hope he goes though, showing he’s not good enough to even challenge for the title never mind win it.

I don't think top 4 will save Ole this time.
The club will not tolerate another average season when they've just brought Sancho, Varane and Ronaldo.

Not any more, Ronaldo won't accept that (not to mention a possible Europa league debut), he's not as easily pleased as the rest of your squad.

I reckon it depends on where they finish in the top 4 and how well they do elsewhere. If he is involved in a title challenge and gets far in the CL they might keep him. If they end up doing what they did last season he could be gone.

It’s hard to make such a declarative statement given there’s no precedence for anyone getting in the top four three seasons running for us.
Woodward’s going as well, and Ole’s his man, so that changes matters as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s still here next season, but if we once again get nowhere near the title - which is the most likely thing to happen - then changing manager will be on the cards as well. Just because the club doesn’t have a burning desire to win the league, doesn’t mean they have no ambition to and will happily just stick with someone that isn’t capable of that.

Just going on the recent history of the club, really, but like Annie Ziety says, Ronaldo getting frustrated might be a big factor, he stormed off down the tunnel at full-time which isn’t a good look and him being disgruntled and maybe looking to move in the summer could spell the end for Ole more than anything? Player power and all that.

The recent history has been contingent on events that would be different to what came before them, though.
The players is something I’ve mentioned before. I don’t think it’s just a Ronaldo thing, though having a player of his stature in the squad would contribute to it. But there’s a lot of players in this squad that would only find it natural to start questioning the manager if things don’t go as well as planned.

Cr7 has coaching ambitions too
Player-coach role awaits. CR7 now needs someone more experienced to work in tandem.
