I don’t agree that Bertrand was a bad signing. He looked superb pre-season as we were attacking in numbers with our fullbacks high up.

Rodgers seems to have adapted to the loss of Evans and Soyuncu by slowing things down and being less aggressive out from the back.

It’s not working.

Bertand has been poor, I wasn’t expecting much but not sure what he’s done to be keeping Thomas out the side tbh.

I'm sure Rodgers could go for that, as long as it involved passing out from the back with 50 or so passes between the back line putting ourselves under pressure at the same time.

Not forgetting we lost Justin as well and no Nadidi today,

Then we sell or loan Mendy and praet
Choudhury told he's not wanted and go find a club
A good job Newcastle fell through,,

2 weeks off then utd should probably right that one off as well,

I'm suprised Thomas isn't playing any team not top 6

Sorry but Thomas in this current back line would only make it weaker. He is not strong enough in defence generally but especially against the better teams, and going forward he cant go past a man so almost always ends up turning and passing backwards, also he doesn’t appear to do anything with his right foot apart from stand on it.

Bertrand and Vestergard are both playing like they are still at Southampton. Losing too many battles, Vestergard had two chances of clearing for that equaliser, he gets run past in one on one's all the time. I blinking love lil Wes and can't wait til he gets back.
