Nuno is learning

Think we should give a great deal of respect to Nuno. After the abject Arsenal game he was under real pressure. He clearly learned from the match and adding Skipp to the midfield made a huge difference. It shows character from Nuno and the team and that they will still play for him. I reckon Nuno will consider this his settled team bar a couple of positions. These are the 2nd centre back ( Dier did well but still not 100% convinced he's good enough). Ndembele/glc is still up for debate and possibly Moura - although I think he's underrated.

Hopefully we can kick on from here and havea good October, Nuno is a new manager at Spurs and a decent bloke let's get behind him and the team. I still think we will be in the battle for the europa league places come the end of the season. COYS!

After the Arsenal game he had no choice to make changes to the team. I do wonder if he benched Skipp for the Arsenal game after he played in midweek and just came back from an injury not to put much workload on him.

Looks like he has seen the light with Sanchez, Dele and Winks. Lets see how long it takes before Dier makes another mistake before he is dropped.

Looks like Nuno Out brigade like Hybrid are sticking to their guns. Fair enough but do we really want another prolonged managerial appointment and have Mason back in a caretaker role? Not for me.

Give Nuno time.

I absolutely don’t think Nuno is the right man for the job, but if the club can’t or won’t move heaven and earth to get a better option then of course we have to stick with him, as you say we can’t revisit the farce of the post Jose months - especially mid season. Nothing we can do other than see how Nuno does, I’m not expecting great things and I’d say there is a lot to be concerned about so far, but he’s bought himself a reprieve with that Villa win going into the international break. I was absolutely livid after that NLD, it’s was a disgrace but I’m gritting my teeth and saying to myself ‘let’s see where we are at the 19 game point’.

For me we have to ride it out until Jan and then Nuno must be given another CM and a back up striker at the very minimum. Even if they are loan deals.

Most people were calling for Nuno's head after the Arsenal game or before that.

Watford sacked their manager yday. Look how much of a laughing stock they are. Ranieri has been linked lol.

All very well saying we need to move heaven and earth for a new manager but take Potter for example.

He REJECTED us according to the Telegraph:

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1497350/tottenham-news-graham-potter-nuno-espirito-santo-daniel-levy-premier-league

He was wanted by alot of Spurs fans but we are not an attractive proposition as some of us think we are. Rodgers also was better off at Leicester. These two would have ideal but how do you move heaven and earth if they are not interested?

I am not sure Nuno is the right or wrong man for us but what I do know is he needs time like any other new manager. He seems to give players a chance and if they let him down they are benched. See Winks, Dele and Sanchez. Good for him.

I don't think Nuno can be congratulated for picking a better team than he did for the NLD. That team selection and tactical set up (in the NLD) was ridiculous.

However, he must be reading JA606 because he finally set up the team in the way that many of us have called for and he seems to have realised that Dele Alli is not a central midfield player - although I could have told him that months ago!

I'll give Nuno at least 13 games. Some never liked him so that's fair enough..each to their own. Nuno or not we need to all agree which players the team needs to be built around. If a new manager comes in and benches Skipp and plays Hojbjerg out of position we will be back to square one.

Makes you wonder if Jose and Nuno actually watched the team before accepting the job.

At least he changed it , if Jose was still in charge he would of persisted with the same team to try and prove a point. I get we were so bad in the NLD we had to change but credit is deserved for the way he changed ir.

For me the team selection was a no brainer.

But I'll give him credit for getting the team to perform for practically the whole game, as opposed to just one half yesterday.

I was so angry and appalled with him last week that it's gonna take more than one good game for me to forgive him. But I really do hope that he does well with us and gets consistently good performances (and results) from here on in.

No professional would bother reading JA606.
That said, Nuno did choose a better squad than he did in the NLD.
