Fergie's Comments On SSN

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/12426320/sir-alex-ferguson-says-cristiano-ronaldo-should-have-started-for-man-utd-in-home-draw-against-everton

Very, very disappointed with Fergie here. I always remember when Moyes took over, Roy Keane gave an interview saying that SAF was still trying to control things at United and assert his power over Moyes. Never, though, did I think he would try to do the same over Ole. I don't know how much power a manager has, but if Ole can he should really try to revoke Ferguson's access/ticket to Old Trafford if he wants to come out with powerplays in the media like this. It's counter-productive.

Fergie has zero idea of where Ronaldo was at fitness wise before our kickoff on Saturday. He's 36 now, not 26, so was Ole really wrong to rest him given we played on Wednesday? I say not. Fergie is a real hypocrite with this, as he didn't play Henrik Larsson twice a week when we had him did he? Or Michael Owen for that matter. We created enough chances in that game to win it without Ronaldo, so why Fergie is trying to put pressure on Ole I don't know.

Another real issue I have with this is it seems like Fergie didn't actually give this interview to SkySports, so why are they posting it? It goes back to what I have always said: there is an agenda by the anti-United media to unsettle Ole and the rest of the squad so they can make more headlines and rumours about him losing his job. Totally disgraceful and unethical in my book.

Let me remind each and every single one of you that, whilst we haven't been in great form, our title rivals haven't done anything at all to move clear of us. We are 1 big win away from being in 1st place again and our performance against Leeds (minus Ronaldo + Cavani btw) proves we are capable of banging in the goals. We are far from being in the crisis some 'fans' would have you believe and we remain in the title race.

Very disappointing from Fergie and Sky.

I honestly think he dropped a little hand grenade in there on purpose. Whether he actually meant Ronaldo should have started or not, he's publically giving them all (including the players as well as the manager) a reminder that things haven't been good enough recently. One thing he never let players do when he was manager was get comfortable.

Or maybe I'm reading too much into it and he just answered an off the cuff question in an off the cuff way. You decide.

I think he's given his opinion in a 1-1 conversation without even considering that maybe he shouldn't as someone could be filming him.

Yeah, you might be right there. He's a scheming old buggger though.

Fergie was still totally out of order with what he said by the way.

Once you get your UEFA badges you should be the man to replace Ole

Imagine taking swipes at your best ever manager to protect a man overseeing your longest trophy drought for three decades.

That’s how I saw it. Could be wrong.

Ferguson was already an established manager before the requirement for coaches to have a UEFA Pro licence was brought in. He was awarded an FA Coaching Diploma (as they guessed he probably knew what he was doing).

Interestingly, he's a regular speaker at the two day residentials for coaches working to attain their pro licence (they've worked out he probably knows what he's doing).

I’ve been to a few of those.

Ferguson is Utd’s greatest ever figurehead and has a stand named after him, he built the modern Man Utd. Solsjkaer couldn’t manage a game of pass the parcel at a kids party and he commands about as much respect as Boy George at a bare knuckle boxing match, if he got uppity with old Gammon Face he’d be shown the facking door and make no mistake son.

Some times your rants can be entertaining and sometimes you come off as an utter imbecile who has had the $hit kicked out of him by girls.

This time it is the latter.

I don’t think that 4235 works either.

Maybe fergie is just passing on a bit of cheeky advice is how I see it , he’s going to need all the advice he can get handling Cat 1 twilight career players such as cavarni & Ronnie , I’d be surprised it sir Alex isn’t in close contact with ole from now on 👍
