With Coutinho being linked to Newcastle which Prem players do you think they'll go for? I reckon they'll go for the likes of Lingard or even Firmino.

Newcastle could raid teams like Leicester, Arsenal, Spurs, Villa West Ham and try and cherry pick their best players.

Alli on the other hand? Now that I can see as early as January especially if either Gerrard or Lampard take over. I'm guessing Spurs fans won't have much of a problem with that?

Gerrard or Lampard? That seems risky to employ either of them at this point and kind of unambitious. Newcastle had Benitez before Bruce who you would say is a better manager than either. I'm sure they could go for a more top manager than that if they wanted.

Depends who'll be interested, which is intriguing in itself.
If the stories about Lampard having varying degrees of influence on persuading all our players to come last year wasn't club propaganda (which it easily could've been), hiring him for a year or two before upgrading isn't as silly as it might look. Generally good PR guy also valuable taking into account who their owners are.

If they want an English attacking mid, Lingard’s a better player and available on a free in the summer. More versatile as well, which will be helpful if they have some hope for Willock being any good.

Why not both?

Kane is obvious target
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He's an obvious target but I'm not sure at 28 he'll want to wait for as long as it will likely take for them to really challenge. Then again, he's unlikely to win anything at Spurs any time soon, whilst at least there is a very good chance that he could do so at Newcastle in time.

If he goes to Newcastle he could at least Win a league cup, Europa cup, fa cup maybe

Wouldn’t really make sense to sign both when you look at their squad. Obviously a lot would depend on the new manager and how they want to set up, but I don’t think it matters too much who it is, they won’t need two attacking mids when they clearly need a new striker, central midfield and defence far more.

Lingard's versatility doesn't really make it a big issue unless he would only sign on the condition he plays the shadow striker role Alli would get, but he don't seem like one of them players if I'm honest - throw money at him & he'll be fine with it.
If they signed both it would mean Newcastle fans wouldn't have to see Almeron ever again, I'm sure they'd be broken up about that

I think it makes it an issue when his best position is in the middle, and they have Willock for a similar role. ASM and Almiron can play there if needed and offer as much as Alli. They’d rather see Almiron playing than the absolute shiiiiiite they’ve got in centre mid and defence.
But who knows. They might not really know what they are doing and sign both. A sensible strategy would be to get Lingard, a striker and completely gut central midfield and defence. But we don’t know if they are sensible yet.

I do hope they take lingard, but I just don't see the club ever admitting he's not MUFC material

You could probably still get a decent fee for Sancho before its too late.
