Embrace the "hiring and firing" culture

A significant portion of our toxic fanbase believe that we are "different" from other clubs and take pride in not firing managers like Chelsea, Real Madrid etc. I have been asked who are these toxic fans? Well these toxic set of fans are the Stretford enders and co. who shut down any voices of dissent and all calls for improvement are met with "Ole at the wheel" both at the ground and on social media (At least on social media its different since yesterday).

I do not see "hire and fire" culture to be bad. Most of us would not remain in our jobs if we underperformed for 3 months let alone 3.5 years. If something does not work change it. It's how the world works.

Ole should be sacked if we lose our next 2 games. If the new manager lets say Conte comes in and is unable to win trophies in 1-1.5 years then sack him too. If Zidane comes in after that and is unable to do the same sack him too and so on. It is perfectly acceptable to keep sacking managers like a merry go round unless we find the one that delivers consistently.

Chelsea do it year over year. Real Madrid do it. City have done it before Pep. Why do our toxic fans think we are "better" than them? No we aren't.
Chelsea are a million times better run football club than us. No wonder they win trophies almost every year whereas we are stuck with a dud who hasn't won a thing in 3.5 years. Lampard who is probably their greatest player was sacked without remorse when Roman realized that he couldn't take them further and rest is history. What's so special about our fanbase that we take pride in not sacking managers? Why do our fans insist "Go support them instead"? This is the toxic behavior running through our fans that stifles progress.

Normalize sacking managers if they are not up to the task. The first and foremost goal of a football club is to win titles. We are not in the business of appointing "Feel-Good" managers like Ole. Might as well employ Kendra Lust, Dani Daniels or Angela White if our squad needs the "Feel Good" factor without any outcomes. Nobody should care if we go through 10 managers in 15 years as long as we are winning. This is the ruthless culture that needs to flow through the club including the matchday going fans.

OLE OUT!!

In the last hour or so I've read that Zidane 'would be open to manage United' and that Conte 'would be willing to sacrifice his severance pay' if needed quickly.

Maybe nothing in it but I actually wouldn't be surprised now if Ole is coming to the end. Whether it's the sack or mutual agreement.

Ooh, there's a question...

Conte or Zidane?

That'd be a much more interesting thread than this one, I suspect.

Out of the two of them probably Conte in truth. Think he's a bit more proven than Zidane in different situations.

Zidane would certainly command respect though and would be a presence on the touchline certainly.

Like I said there maybe nothing too it but this does feel like the end. It could be a longish goodbye, and this week could be like the week we beat Newcastle 3-2 under Jose when speculation was rife, but I just have a feeling it could be it.

I've read rumours that the owners aren't delighted with the Newcastle takeover either, yet another club competing for that CL revenue.

The time to spend and ring-fence is now, before they get going. They failed to do that with City, and look how that's turned out.

You've spent a lot of money trying to ring-fence it already.

They'll still be looking for his unmarked grave in 3 years time.
