The reason I ask is Pep, a short time ago, told us when he intended to leave to take a complete break from management as he did at Barca. Most City fans will remember the absolute chaos that happened when Keegan did the same with players slacking off and TBH best will in the world and best manager in the world I can still see that happening again in the final season.
So do we appoint a joint manager in Peps last season to help with a gradual transfer of power of would it cause even more problems?
Can we afford 2 managers

Not sure what you mean by 2 managers but I would like a plan where we groom Peps successor. Not sure its possible to get a seasoned manager to act as his no 2 fr a season but a yong bright manager who shares those values would be ideal.
I do feel for whoever comes after Pep. He needs to be lucky and be liked by the players to get going.

I think the problem you would have is that a really top manager probably wouldn't want to work as a number 2 for a year. Joint management tenures are invariably disastrous so I'd stay away from that.
As Sky-blue said, a young up and comer would be the best bet in such a scenario. But it would most likely be someone unproven at the highest level, so not without its risks. As can be seen with Arteta at Arsenal

Pep actually said he could leave in 3 months or leave in 5 years.
I imagine only him and a couple of others will know the exact date he's leaving and they'll keep it that way until his last game.

He's stayed longer at City as coach than he did as coach of his beloved Barca and Bayern. Two of the biggest clubs on the planet. This tells you all you need to know about the man. $$$$$$.
This is the same man afterall who finished his playing career in the Qatar League too.
What we all want to know though is what is he really being paid by City as it's probably more than what City declare it is as we know that's how they operate.

Pep has bought a gaff in Salford, opened his own restaurant nearby and his kids go to local schools.
Compare that to Jose who was on £15m a year yet chose to stay in a hotel so he could be alone with his misery
