Steve Bruce. Ex player, winner as a player, never given resources but has got Villa and Birmingham promoted from the Championship and kept an awful Newcastle in the Premier.

This obsession with the biggest and brightest names has to end. You nearly killed Moyes' career off when, if the 'fans' had any patience, he could have brought success. He has 1/20th the amount of money to spend at West Ham but has built a better squad that plays better football.

But you hounded him out because he wasn't a big name.

I would love to see what Steve Bruce could do with one third the money that the likes of Mourinho, LVG and Ole were given. I believe it's £1.2BN between them, isn't it.

No to Steve Bruce, but you are bang on about Moyes.

Moyes should never been sacked so quick.

He inherited a squad that were 'fortunate' defending champions and with an aged/poor midfield, crap fullbacks/gk and little up front of any real threat. It was going to take 5 years to sort it out, but he above most others would have done it. Instead we gave now had almost a decade of a continuing shapeless, directionless mess.
