And the UK creeps up the list when you count emissions per capita – i.e. how much we emit per person.

So, the problem is never really going to be UK's to fix, as we physically can't change what people like China do. You could argue that the UK at least is now trying to make a difference, more than any of these biggest polluting counties.

Surely if they ware really serious about climate change rather than just wanting to cause disruption they would take their protests to where they would really make a difference. Red Square or Tiananmen Square. I’m sure their protests would go down well there

Out of sheer curiosity would you be happy to be punched in the face every time Liverpool conceded a goal?

We import heavily from China. As do most western nations. So when we consider emissions, we should really consider the cumulative effect of that, as well as our direct contribution.
Saying 'we can't change what they do' is just the cop out argument for those who aren't willing to do anything.

Well most of China's problem is it's location, because it's surrounded by mountains on all sides, the pollution can't escape, or be dispersed due to warm and cold air meeting. We don't have that problem here.
Yes, I agree we buy so much utter garbage from China, look at where things are made and buy from somewhere else if possible.
