Another long haul trip today, incredible the number already and we're only 15 games in. Another fixture that used to be played in the premier league, the last one in 2009 when Bolton won 3-2 with a late goal from Gary Cahill. After relegation that season multiple relegations and 2 administrations the 2 clubs have avoided each other since then apart form the covid season where Portsmouth did the 1-0 double. Looking at the league table a point at least today would maintain the 3 point gap between the clubs going into the 2 week break where the efl trophy and fa cup take over. Also looking ahead the fixture list to boxing day looks kinder with 4 home games, 2 local derbys and just the 1 long haul trip. Form wise Portsmouth no win in 3, Bolton no win in 4. Team news. A tricky time for evatt. Bakayoko is out injured adding to the list of Jones, tutte. Amaechi on schedule for a November return and although not match fit yet great to see Edwards playing for the reserves. So what today? Back 3 or 4? Aimson or Johnston? Brockbank or Isgrove? Isgrove pushed further forward? Doyle reported to be doubtful. If he's out delfounso, Kachunga, false 9? All will be revealed later...

match reports and ratings were up there at 6am your time.
The blue one today is The Big Match Verdict which was up at 11am your time. That's the one with his ramblings in it.
Perhaps you need to refresh the Wanderers page.
Don't worry I don't pay for it on account of me not having any money with HM on it.

Tues, Sun, Fri what an odd sequence of games we have coming up.
With the clocks going back we're all of a pickle and bound to forget when one of the games is on.

I reckon 7 points the way things are going. 2 wins and a draw and a loss.
Of course, I hope that we will bag all twelve. I just think that there will be a confidence issue.

Wasn't the Crewe game moved for the postponed rugby league World Cup? Then it got left as it was when things got pushed back. I think they've used the extra day to get the charity game in on the Sunday now.

Tonight we are going to win. I have to revert to being positive again. We have had our bad run and tonight is the night that we return to winning games of football.
I'm going for a very ambitious 3-1 for the Wanderers. The show starts early so don't be late. You may miss some of the goals.
You have been warned.
