Over the last 25 years CFC have evolved into an elite club.
When you consider the progress of both the Mens and Woman's teams it is clear that we are serious contenders in all competitions we enter. Both squads are managed by top tier managers.
Emma Hayes is a great professional and Tuchel is amongst the worlds elite managers.
Today we have a billion pound squad.
Our youth academy, developed since Roman took over has undoubtably produced quality footballers of all levels, todays first team squad boasts a significant % of youth academy players, this has helped improve the clubs economic outlook.
The club is valued in excess of two billions pounds.
Not bad for a toy, as some would like us to believe.
Oh you have got laugh
Chelsea Football Club today !

Really dude (u1016)
Id say continued success over 25 years is sustained.i believe we have won more silverware than any other club in the EPL over the last 20 years.
But hey as a humble grateful CFC supporter our fair share will do.
Utd have had two sustained periods since the 60's, but are now on their way to possibly a 10 year + void.
Liverpool, only the 70s 80s sustained , in the last 30 years the occasional success over 1 or 2/3 yr individual periods.
They have only won the EPL once in the 30 years, i think that puts them into perspective.
City and Cfc have emerged at a cost to Utd, Liverpool and Afc.
Today going forward , over the next 6 years,id fancy CFC's chances of picking up silverware over that of both Utd and Liverpool

It’s definitely been a work in progress but you hzve to commend Bates, nearly bankrupted us but always had plans for success and reaching the pinnacle.
96/97 we won the fa cup and started getting European football. Brought in the likes of Zola, desially, lebeouf, poyet, some world class or near world class players. And then when Roman came in the rest is history. The reluctance to rest on your laurels should be a huge example to other clubs.

not forgetting Vialli Di Matteo & Gullit

Chelsea have had their fair share of success over those 25 years but have never had sustained success. They have had the odd top division title and various cups but have not had a "dynasty" in the way that Liverpool and Man Utd have (and possibly Man City to follow).
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've won five European cups in nine years whilst throwing in Prem titles & domestic cups...i'd say that's getting near dynasty level

You need a new stadium. Which looks unlikely to happen any time soon.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Why? It’s a shame due to space restrictions we couldn’t get to 50,000 or so. Could we sell out a 70,000, yes. But is it that worth it? I doubt it with sponsorships etc the main money earner nowadays
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because the more people you have to watch your team, the better. I'm not fussed about income of whatever else comes with it, to have a ground with a 42,000 capacity, with the size Chelsea now are, is not enough.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's not like we haven't tried to expand...we couldn't extend SB any further & Battersea would have been phenomenal...but it wasn't to be

I expect that statistically Chelsea have been the most successful London club since the PL started. Arsenal had a few good years but that was more than 15 years ago. Spurs are the ones that continually seem to disappoint. A couple of League Cups in nearly 30 years is a poor record for what should be a top side.

A touch of fortune for the womens team yesterday as City had 10 players out injured

Maybe city needs a better medical staff then.
