Conte is going to need a massive war chest to be effective at Spurs. If he doesn't get it from Levy then he will be no enter than Jose was for you.

He can't turn sh te into gold. Apart from maybe Moses and Alonso

I actually the squad suits him quite well. Not for a title charge - but top four contention, sure.

If he then gets said war chest next summer Spurs will be serious.

I think their squad is atrocious. Lacking in talent all over the park. They have zero chance top 4

I am not sure - they have decent defenders and midfielders, not great ones but good enough to be moulded into a system and be hard to beat, and Kane + Son is elite.

Wing backs at Inter weren't much better, Hakimi & a bunch of PL scrubs. In that position he does have a nack for it, I expect Reguilon to be a beast for him.

Actually thinking about it you would be going for Cahill/Rudiger & Skriniar at LCB to probably Ben Davies. That'll be a challenge

On paper - are these teams great?

Nope.

Title worthy?

Certainly not.

But could that be moulded into a system that averages 2pts a game and gets top four this season with a top coach?

Sure.

Conte can improve Reguillon and Ndombele. That can in turn improve Son and Kane.

The rest are pure feckin fodder

They aren't great - which is why I am not saying 'title challenge' because as you point out - Hazard, Kante, Fabregas, Matic, Luiz, Azpilicueta and Cahill are a step up on theirs CBs/CMs and flair players.

But they are good enough to be moulded into top four contention.
