A 2 match break from the current league troubles as Bolton make a short trip to spotland to take on Rochdale in the last round of fixtures in group d of the efl trophy. A lot at stake. A win or draw and Bolton qualify for the knockout stage as group winners and will get a home tie. Lose and Rochdale go through and Bolton will be waiting on next Tuesdays port vale v Liverpool u21 game and will be knocked out if port vale overturn the 4 goal difference. Team news. A bit vague. Sounds like first teamers who didn't start on Saturday will play tonight. What we know. Out injured tutte, Jones. Edwards possible, Bakayoko too but likely to be held back to Sunday and Amaechi not considered. Comley is available and added to the squad. Early ko 7pm.

Very strange with comley. No reason imo not to have registered him and have him around till January unless he has been forced out.

Maybe Comley had just decided it was time for a change now rather than hang around, its a funny time to go he may have something lined up.

Don't be surprised if he's playing against us for Stockport on Sunday. His timing for leaving seems a little strange.

From the computer graphics I'm not sure about the FanZone.
Did you spot the Porta Loo's, who wants to be first in the one which gets pushed over ?
Call me old fashioned but its not my way of going to the match. If it was I'd be having a rethink and redesign creating more smaller ones dotted around the ground, each one serving different food and drink from local suppliers.

That sounds like a good idea. You should contact Sharon. No doubt each vendor would be paying for a licence to be there for a season. It could be a nice little earner for the club.

Good news on retaining some of our better players.

Re the fanzone just use the same area as used last time plus stay open for the late game.

Good work.
Lining up the post January ducks early this season. Who's on the lame duck list ?

Good news signing up those players. None of the first choice players are out of contract at the end of the season which provides stability. Compare that to recent seasons where we might only have 2. Lee I thought might have been targeted in January but now he has that extra year protects the club.

It's all good news on that front, also Baka and Xavia both trained yesterday and came out of it OK.
Baka could figure in tomorrows game, so matters in the sick room are looking decisively better.
If we are to make the most of the next nine league games before the January window opens, we need all hands to the pump. A win against Stockport in the FA cup tomorrow is a must to keep the confidence at a high.
