Well that is Antonio’s first match out of the way and the result was okay.
However, those of you who might have expected instant improvement will have to have patience going forward.
As his visa clearance did not come through until Wednesday afternoon, he will have have very little opportunity to judge players and their attitudes.
I would no expect to see any significant improvement for at least two weeks, giving him time to impress upon the players his thoughts and requirements from them.
It is down to the players to show him that they not only want to play for the club, but that they are also prepared to fight for their places in the team.
This is very much a two way street, it is no good having a top class manager, if the players still want to live in their comfort zone and keep putting in less than acceptable performances.
Watching last night, it was good for a period of around 15-20 minutes. However, Vitesse were fitter and more competitive than we were in the 2nd half and could easily have snatched a draw or even won, despite going down to 9 men.
I think that several players are in for a rude awakening once Conte gets going. He does not mess about, if you do not commit yourself 100% to his ideology and methods, it is quite simple………you are out!
We as fans need to be realistic and understand that over the next two months he has to make do with what we have, and turn them into better players and performers if possible.
He does in the main have quality to work with and January should see some good recruitment to bolster the squad and team.
If we finish in Top 6 that will good in my book, anything better will be brilliant.
Cup wise, if we beat West Ham then we could start thinking about the League cup and who knows what will happen going forward in the Conference!😳🤔

Ndombele, Bergwijn and Reggie all left out of their international squads. Good news for us at least, gives Conte more time to work with as many players from the first team squad as possible.

I think Romero needs to be the middle centre half. That way if he does those mad charges forwards (either with the ball or to pressure the receiver), there's always two men in behind him covering. If he's one of the wider centre halves then there's no guarantee the wing back can cover behind, which exposes the middle guy.

We need 3 fast CBs. All decent in the air. Dier and Davies are the antithesis of a back 3 CB. Conte needs to learn quick about the frauds in the squad

yeah i agree we need 11 perfect players

Fuсk me your having a bad day today, what with comments like this nonsense and all the comments on the BBC's West Ham & Leicester articles crying about people mentioning little old sours.
You really need to grow a pair and stop getting offended because non spurs fans have the audacity to mention them in a comment.

Conte was late for his press conference due to spending extra time on the training pitch!

I'm not understanding this bit about the visa, Genius.....
Phil McNulty writes...........
"Spurs' unused subs and those who came on late were put through a ferocious lengthy warm down under the watchful eye of the manager's new backroom team in a deserted stadium after the final whistle. You suspect this new intensity will be a feature on the training ground in days to come."
I assume his backroom team have the same visa issues?
And if Conte can't work yet....he sure has hell was working on the sidelines during the match...
"
The 52-year-old, by this stage, was fully into it as he bellowed at his players to push up and to fight, his arms whirling and his fists clenching. He made a bold intervention with fewer than 20 minutes left with a triple substitution as he sent on Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele and Davinson Sanchez for Son, Moura and Oliver Skipp."
Cone is working already, that is clear.
But he sure as hell has got a job on his hands.
Fixing Kane
Finding something better than Davies
I wonder what the fans will do if we lose on Sunday?
