Anyone know how to tell their kids…?
To be clear my son is only going 7 and I don’t think he needs to know anytime soon but I remember reading a way of breaking it to them - something along the lines of bringing them in on the secret so that they can keep it real for others - in this case his 2 year old sibling
Also, I’ve googled it looking for the answer I read once upon a time and the top few results was telling them they ‘are ready to BE a Santa’ and finishes with them buying their grumpy neighbour slippers, this wasn’t the one I recall!
‘Santa isn’t real…’

My niece is a scientist. Refused to lie to her children. Told them Santa was fake. Caused a total sh*&t show with the kids in their class/school.
I don't know how I feel about it. I am leaning towards what they did is being the right or at least not a wrong move. You can still enjoy Santa even if you know it is fiction.

Yeah same, can still enjoy the Santa / Father Christmas stuff, and do so without lying to kids.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
My missus brother is ultra-religious to the level of it being cult-like and she was telling me how he wouldn't even accept gifts with Santa on, Dinosaurs etc and would just give them straight back because it was wrong. So pathetic. He even stopped his kids being bridesmaids for our wedding because I wasn't religious
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ah man. Each to their own. But it's tough to see that as positive
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Will see them at xmas, which will be fun. Dinner with Trump loving, anti vaxing, religious morons.

so many great character traits

But Santa is real. I watch him every year on the NORAD tracker.
I do worry about his carbon emissions though. I know it's only once a year, but to cover that distance at that sort of speed needs more than magic reindeer.

Tune in next week to find out how to tell adults god isn’t real

Ive been having that discussion with admin2 about fake information or anti science on YouTube. That I'd happily see it deleted, but where do you draw the line. As religion is unscientific and act of faith, but deleting religious proclamation from YouTube is likely a violation of Human rights.

YouTube is privately-owned publisher. It can delete whatever content it likes without explanation.

I never allowed mine to believe in Santa either and they enjoy it well enough knowing its not real.
Personally I don't think its fair on kids to allow them to think Santa is real and then having to break it to them later on. Everybody does it but it sounds like one of those practices that people in the future will be bemused by.

You don't have to do it, and why would you want to?
His peers will let him know.
If he asks then you can tell him, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it. Worked.with my kids.

Parents went out Xmas eve for a drink and I peeked through the stairs to see a bum going up n down and the baby sitter moaning. Told my mum that santa was fighting with Jane the baby sitter and never saw Jane again.
Heard my parents call her older sister and go mental and figured out santa wasn't real. They weren't fighting very long so I guess santa does come early some years 😅
