Spurs are one of the four clubs involved. Not sure how I feel about it tbh, didn’t they get rid of it for a reason?
Thoughts?
Safe Standing From January,

I can’t imagine our style of football will get many fans on their feet

Everyone stands up when an attack is on.
You have to, to Fackin see anything.
So safe standing e.g standing areas for the diehard loud pissssed sections of any clubs fans is fine. They can pisss In eachothers pockets like the old days.
Good luck stewarding it tho.

I’m not sure a lot of people know how safe standing works. There are barriers between rows which will create any surge protection.
What I don’t know is, does it mean you can fit more fans in the standing area as a result?

Yeah it does. They anticipate getting an extra 10,000 in our ground with safe standing. I remember reading the spec when it was opening - the south stand sits 17,000, but was designed in advance of safe standing and can accommodate an extra 7000 punters with standing. I imagine the other 3000 will be at the Paxton end, with seated punters along the east and High Road sides.

How does that work? I thought part of what made it 'safe' was that everyone is still allocated a seat so they won't be crowded in.

I’d assume they can decrease the seat to person ratio slightly but enough so it’s safely

Yeah I don't think that's right

• The seats cannot be locked in the ‘up’ or ‘down’ position, allowing fans the option of being able to sit (for example, during breaks in play).
• There must also be one seat/space per person.

Sadly that is not true.
The ratio is 1:1.
So 17k: 17k in your end. It is a shame because imagine if we followed German 1: 1.8 model, you could get 30k in your end.
Yellow Wall is 14k seats, 25k standing IIRC

You could be right. I seem to remember reading that the south stand would have an increased with safe standing. Am probably going back 3 or 4 years now so might be mis-remembering.
Everyone stands in there anyway and nobody does anything about it. The seats do lock away for standing though, I’m sure of that.

There is rail seating at the Bridge. First time I used it was for Chelsea Spurs friendly in the summer in Shed upper.
You could sit or stand
