Which players does Conte have to work with?

For me the biggest issue to resolve is our defending from set pieces. I’m sick and tired of conceding from them.

After that , sort out that midfield. It has all the creativity of a cheap sleeve tattoo.

Then get the forwards scoring goals because, you know, it’s what they’re supposed to be doing.

I would still get rid of half this squad at least.

If I was to be picky.....Son's hold up play needs work. I've seen smaller strikers like Aguero with better hold up.

Conte needs to work with ALL of the players, every one, except perhaps Lloris. Maybe not Son.
Kane needs a lot of work.
Davies ...FGS!
And all the rest.
Ndombele needs a Psychiatrist.
Maybe Conte has one of those in his entourage.

Don't want yo beat the same drum, especially when I'm the only one beating it. But, I thought Davies was excellent v Everton. Why call him out? I know it's fashionable on here but he's nowhere near our biggest problem.

Kane is the biggest issue to resolve at the moment. Then I'd say the midfield.

Truth is Reguilon up ahead makes Davies look a lot better than he is...he is not the LB Spurs really need.
But Conte has had to play himn twice now.
Davies did have a crack at goal ...horribly wide.

Davies loses a lot of aerial duels. Then we wonder why we concede at set pieces. Call me old fashioned but CBs need to dominate aerial and ground duels. Davies does neither so against decent forwards he looks very ordinary.

positioning, flat footedness and spatial awareness is more important than dominating the air. Dier's main strength is in the air but the other stuff completely counters it.

Winks always starts after an international break, because he has two week to work with the manager. I guarantee he'll start against Leeds.

This is my concern, especially with Skipp suspended. I'd prefer a more attacking change against Leeds.

I'd argue Dier isn't good in the air. He looks big but has a useless jump. Gets beaten in duels regularly. Against Vitesse he fell asleep aerially. I'm no fan of Davies and Dier both will struggle against half decent forwards and they have.

He's a third CB so really the height is not the issue.

What i would say is that his size, allied with his speed, and his ability on the ball make him a poor choice, however committed he may be. You'd think Rodon was superior in every department but clearly he aint.

It's certainly a chance for Winks. His very very last chance. He has to show he can make a difference otherwise he's one of the first out the door in January - we should milk moneybags NUFC for £20m.

Ultimately he isnt the long term solution but we will start to have an issue with HG players if the likes of Winks and Alli become surplus
